  1. I would doubt it could be fixed for less than $20,000... why bother, the airbag system alone will set you back at least 10,000. After deployment the whole system needs replacing to get certified
  2. Do you get all the drugs & alcohol with it when you pick it up ?
  3. Talk to Joe https://eurosurgeon.co.nz/
  4. I agree it's not a DIY repair and requires special tools and specialist knowledge
  5. Most of the sockets and spanners are SAE. The purchaser has to take all. There are some special items here but I don't have time to list everything itemized. I also have quite a few special tools BMW repairers might like as well. Lets start off at $500 ono and go from there
  6. Good luck,. However I think you are making a poor decision taking this on and a lot of money is going to be slipping through your fingers
  7. It's probably uneconomic to repair. Have any professionals looked at it for you ? What are your mechanical skills like ? Ooops....just looked a photos. That's a write off. I would bail out of that now and cut your loses

  13. I don't personally know anyone down in Welly I could recommend. Someones bound to chime in. Do you have MBI policy ? You can reset the service interval in the Kona
  14. I didn't see the Kona in the profile because I'm not a stalker ? How do you like your Kona Martin ? I'm luvin mine. Done 2,000km in it now and I coudn't wish for anything else at the moment. It's a sh*t load of fun. I'm just waiting for my speed camera ticket in the mail from the weekend in Tauranga.
  15. That sounds very much like the torque converter lock up clutch misbehaving. Lock up is around 2000rpm give or take 100rpm. I suggest you take it to a reputable BMW specialist, the dealers or a reliable transmission specialist and get it checked before it causes any other issues. It could also be an engine issue.
  16. I presume the vehicle is auto and not DCT ?
  17. I would suggest you remove it. Removes any risk while driving. You have checked that the ignition switch still works ?
  18. It's the inhibitor value that is more important than the freezing retardants. Hence the dilution ratio and in the later models the lubricating minerals for the electric water pumps
