  1. An AA inspection would be waste of money on a car like this.
  2. I would be very careful what you do next. I suggest only a BMW dealer or specialist to carry out this repair. The injectors & locking elements are $600 ea and it's recommended that you replace all 6. The 135 also shows the fuel filter as being built into the high pressure fuel pump. Parts ordering by chassis number will reflect that is or isn't.. I would wait until you hear back from the dealer first and go from there. Is the Masterton repairer a BMW specialist ? You can pm or phone me if you like
  3. I.m so over this friggen weather NZ= Land of the long dark shroud
  4. I didn't take the photo. It was on Herald sideswipe
  5. And service costs at that age and mileage
  6. I can understand where Autosure is going with this. If the diagnostic check was done properly with the right type of professional diagnostic tool, it should, will show the number of times the fault has occurred and the mileage the fault occurred. The records could also be stored in other control units if the fault effects them as well. If the faults have been cleared that information is now lost. No specialist would clear these without keeping a copy in PDF form to be able to go back on. We saved all of these to cover ourselves and to provide proof of repairs carried out. It's a process.... Diagnostic check saved, Clear fault codes saved, Road test till fault codes appear again save, report to owner. Carry out repairs, clear fault codes, road test, recheck and save.
  7. Talk to Joe about this as well https://eurosurgeon.co.nz/
  8. That fault report is of no help at all. There are many things that can cause this. The most common is a faulty ignition coil. Looking at the report the vehicle has quite a few issues which may have been introduced. I suggest you get it checked more thoroughly.
  9. Bump Open to sensible offers....just PM or phone me 021921377
  10. Please ring or PM me if anyone is interested ph 021921377 https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?ed=true&id=1743997238
  11. Go talk to Kerry at Mosens http://www.moseneuroparts.co.nz/
  12. The "actual" fault needs to be determined first before you start throwing money at it. 95% of fixing something is diagnosing the fault accurately before attempting to apply the fix to get the intended result.
  13. I'd put the dealer on notice regarding the problem in writing. Then get it to the closest BMW dealer or specialist to have the fault properly investigated. Make sure the dealer agrees for you to do this at his cost, or have the vehicle towed back to Auckland for repair at his expense.
  14. Take it back and have them recheck it. Could be waterpump or alternator bearing noise you are hearing
  15. You have to change the sensors. They are progressive wear sensors. They also have to be reset with an appropriate tool (scanner)
  16. I would suggest getting it checked properly before throwing money at it when you don't actually know whats causing the issue
  17. He will need more than a head set and bolt set to repair this properly
  18. BM Workshop Grey Lynn 3761236 for the workshop 3761250 for spares
  19. They are only different front and rear. Plug A play. If you turn ignition on with one disconnected it will throw a fault code. Clear fault codes and recheck in live data if fault persists to determine where the fault is
  20. You have them over there too Dan ? Going by all the scratches on his bumper I think he misses quite a few times. You might have been a lucky one
