So the 3 people that have worked at SCA present or in the past (+Neal) have answered Tom's first question, yes they are good for home use and odd jobs. I guess it really comes down to what your going to use it for.

I think people are really getting off track here, Tom is not going to use this for commercial purposes I've got a SCA one and I've used it a lot of times with all my conversions, engine, 5 stud swaps, struts, etc and it hasn't let me down (I also use SCA air tools) to some people in the trade these compressors are "sh*t" but I think they are pretty well priced for the hobby mechanic that won't use it every day. I haven't used any of the paint guns so I can't comment, I've had mine for 3+ years now. Just my 2 cents - I also use to work at SCA many moons ago...

Heres the history: That car has been through a number of owners on here, it was Anthony car it had a tech 2 kit and M20B27. I bought the car, took the rebuilt m20b27 and tech 2 kit, then sold it with a m20b25. Synthe did the m50 conversion . The owner is on here.

I'm looking at selling my engine package in my car: Rebuilt 731 head - port/polished Shrick 272 catcam 325i intake & injectors and bits M20B27 block Stainless steel headers Chipped ECU Compression: 9.0:1 I have receipts of the last rebuild done by the previous bimmersport member to the value of $2600. I've done 2,000kms road driving on this motor in the last 3 years, can be test driven while still in the car. $2750 engine kit - this will be sold as a kit less engine loom. $3250 with facelift getrag 260 box
