  1. Years a go I helped build an XP Falcon sedan this was 1995 or thereabouts worth bugger all then, we put a 2k corolla motor out of equally worthless KP25 or whatever it was, that engine sat way back half hanging out the trans tunnell, didn't last to well though. If you can re-inforce over there do so the bigger EA Falcons and that don't seem to do very well, or cars with busy engine bays, get a mid 80's supra they are the weapon of choice over here.
  2. If you can leave the dash in and that would be advisable on a big old Sherman tank like that, you'll have fuel, oil pressure, temp, revs etc comes in handy. Post some pics of the build though love to see that.
  3. I love derbies but they are getting expensive to enter now, good old humber hawk or something like that would be good do a few derbies in it then, or go jalopy racing for a few times first they have them in Wanganui. Depending on what gear you have but can set you back $6-800 time you get the car etc. Most wreckers do a buy back deal one down the road from us does $400 sell to you price and they are at the speedway on the night and give you half an hour or so too take your roll bar out and they give you $250.00 back for it. Good luck with your search I got offered a 83 Charade but no thanks, Hyundai stellars are good, but 83-92 corolla's and ST170 corona's seem to have good crumple zones and win most of them.
  4. forgot to add this is cheap motoring for what he wants and what it is.
  5. South Island roads are amazing, that one through the Lewis pass and those s bends before springs junction just awesome, tempted to turn around and do them again that day. You need a good grunty car for down there the XR6 loved it, M5 would be mind blowing.
  6. Saddle road is quite twisty ideal for a swift GTi with a strut bar or front wheel drive turbo nifty car, my XR6 blew an abs module on that hill.
  7. Sweet keep bumping need to contact the old man and ask him about something else anyway.

    Ouch

Didn't the speedsters have a whale tail, probably where the hood drops into, then the engine is back there. Undisputed best model name for a car Speedster.
  9. SH4 is good about a year ago we had a day of it meet in Sanson headed to Wangavegas up SH4 then out to smash palace for a looksy then back home through Ohakune, Waiouru, back down to palmy neat day drive. Might have to do the Paihiatua track again by the sounds been years since i've done that.
  10. OP where abouts have you been taking it. There is a expert on V8's in New Plymouth, I think he's based out by the waiwakaiho hill. My old man got his C4 vett sounding sweet from there after trying a few others around town. I think that pink NZ V8 car that is for sale driven by that lady is based there, i'll get you the name later.
  11. Interesting about nokia did anyone read the burning platform story they realeased, basicall they admit they have missed the smart phone boat. I have an E63 they can't even do a normal phone that well anymore.
  12. wicked valve bounce man you love that car alright.
  13. Looks like it's outside Bellicoes house.
  14. young people don't need to talk and communicate anymore just become a friend on their facebook page and walla you know everything.
  15. Auto interiors matapo street, ask them how much?
  16. Are they M3 mirrors they make that car.
  17. What did you find "unappealing"? about the ones on TM. I know johno51 from Wellington has/d one for sale a little while ago which seemed realistically priced.
  18. Ryan I think your atitiude towards this is a bit on the nose. You had a point until you "29 threads about it" as there wasn't so you are having a dig. A little appreciation and being considerate will go along way with people of coarse you don't have to help, but just helping and not having to be asked to help all the time goes down well. I very seldom visit someones house without helping them clean up the shed, help lift something, hold the gate why they fix it etc, guess I can't just sit down.
  19. BRL205 is definately my cup of tea, love it. Your coupe is looking real nice too Brian looks like some dollars spent manual as now, like the all over black look except the wheels. Who were those winners again?
  20. The E30 rego BRL205 looks amazing so does LPC and Tristrans 530i what level tint is that?, very tastefully modded that car and the E24 where was that hiding? Keep them coming.
  21. Thanks camera, never easy is it, no quick fix. BMW wof expires in about a month so the van was going to be used after that. Still really interested in storing it as a 98 done 168k, in average to above condition probably $7-8k worth really, it will cost me more to replace in 12 months time as I feel cars will only go up in price this year like everything else. I could always buy one back but better the devil you know so are keeping it for that reason, looks like I might just pull the battery completely out at this stage - well after reading that.
  22. kirsten just like a good carpenter. No wood goes to waste.
