Nice they actually look like different sized rims rear-front.
-
by the way OP this car of yours will be a great buy if you sell it fastidiously maintained, great to see, worth it too good asset you have there.

Has anyone made aftermarket alloy expansion tanks and components for the E39? might be worth investigating as that mid-late nineties plastic they used was perishable - had to be for recycling purposes etc., it was a requirement at the time in the EU.

Your list is realitively minor & really I doubt the 3k fix. ^^This, keep shopping around in fact take it to a BMW dealer and get a full comprehensive list, then have fun shopping around you could recomission that car for $1500 with wof and 6 months reg. I know I have the same car with a list a little longer, thats been sitting 2.5 years and a wagon with air bags in the rear.

This post cracked me up, always a keen man for a drink smoke loud music and new tips on how to avoid the idiots.

Interesting story when he first imported this car. He had to have motorsport coupe in cosmos and preferably 2.8 litre. Waited for ages and ended up grabbing this car the 2500cc version. The following week a minter 2.8 l came up for sale and he tried hard to sell this car while it was on the boat from Japan but coudn't so here it is. Did he get the vader seats done I presume not?

I havent been on here for a while but something urged me to come on today, was half pie expecting this thread title as I have been thinking of my old mate a bit this week really weird. Poor bugger I've known Brian for 10 years and the reason I have the touring and not a Merc, very saddened by this news. I stayed there in August last year and got to meet Lian, he's had his battles thats for sure. RIP B Collis. Hey Mark 1Rotti from the Bay he thought highly of you and to Glen on here and Brent from South Auckland.

I would sit on them for a while don't rush into anything for a while.

Thats right the one that hit the milk tanker in P North a 535 F10, that guy pulled through in the end.

I use Vero and they relaced with OEM my argument was it what was in there in the first place. It cost heaps, then I cancelled the policy and put the car in storage, not intentionally the windscreen was shagged.
-
I can testify that this is a very clean coupe indeed, and would of thought 10-12k would own it as it's a $25k plus build. Brian just keep it if you don't realise the money for it and buy the E46 as well, come on you can do it.

I have a mark 5 smiley transit the first one pictured, bloody good van I load it to the hilt tow the caravan just throw life at it and it just loves me for it great work horse. The paint is real thin on them though as Ford guessed most companies who brought them would paint them - this has been the death knell of most of them. They have worked real hard too so been around the globe 4 or 5 times by now most of them. For $10k I would go as high in the years as you can with a transit.

Probably Paul Kelly^^^

Is that correct they can't be complied from January next year, heard this from a dealer, what about the E39, just E60 and E90 now are able to be complied, can any one shed any light on this?.

Nice car should see you right for a while is that Biarritz?

I was going to do the same thing if you have a friend with a small boat go out with them for the day and see if you like it I did and it kind of satisfied the curiosity and didn't justify owning one. That was a 14 foot Fyran alloy boat he unloaded and loaded on his own easy boat for 1 person bit small and bouncy uncomfy bloody thing, noisy little 50hp which is the minimum you want to go really I liked the buccaner elite that went before us but considerably out of my budget. like everything you get what you pay for etc and two happiest days with owning a boat are the day you buy and the day you sell lol, your call though try before you buy and if you can spend more do so as they hold their value quite well.

Maybe the headlining kept falling down and blinding them.
