  1. I videod it and watched it just before, not a bad programme, wonder when the second part is on. What cracked me up was his cold air feed to the K&N Cone that he fitted. Also, how cheap are aftermarket body parts in the UK. The guy bought a brand new bonnet for 64 pounds. Amazing though, that he bought a basically sound E30 325i touring for 900 pounds, that really only needed a full service, and some cosmetic touch ups. Cheers

Gus/ Ryan It is a common problem, I can't recall the fix for this, but I'll try and find it. Cheers
  3. I think that a 2 litre 5 series would be a bit torturous to drive, the small engine in a big heavy car would make this a bit of a slug. Cheers

    Seats & WOF

Andrew has no rear seats in his E30. I think he had to get his car classed as a two seater though (which was no big deal). He may have some more to comment on this. Cheers
  5. Cool, welcome to the fold. Cheers
  6. I miss it already, i have just come back from the Jazz and Blues Festival at Mission Bay, and when taking corners even with medium aggression the front end was a bit more unsettled.Ollie, you reckon you will make a one piece bar, or a hinged, semi-adjustable one like my RD one. Cheers
  7. Correct, they will improve pedal feel as they don't expand/contract like rubber ones do when the brakes are applied (and un-applied - for lack of a better word).Cheers

    M3 For Sale

Don't forget that the one in Rangiora will need to be exported and then reimported in two years time. You can't just register it when it is 20 years old, you have to actually import in after it is that age too. Cheers
  9. I think that is an excellent photo, I like it a lot. If you can get it improved by the photographer, (not that I see too much wrong with it) go for it, and get yourself a nice poster made. Also, check out the number of cranes littering the Auckland skyline, amazing the amount of construction activity that is going on at the moment, a sign of the bouyant economy. Cheers
  10. EmmaYou are not quite right, but nice assumption anyway . Go to page 2 of this thread, last post is a picture of my front Racing Dynamics Strut Brace. It goes between the two strut towers, over the engine and reduces the flex in the car during cornering. Cheers

    Seen in New Market

Sauber have been in the past using a Ferrari engine as well, this year they are running a Petronis engine, but I suspect that this is a Ferrari engine as well.Minardi are using a Cosworth engine this year, but have been using the Asiatech engine for the last few years. The Jordan and the Red Bull (ex Jaguar) teams are also using the Cosworth engine this year. Cheers
  12. Have you paid your $25 membership fee towards the running and hosting of the site?
  13. It was done through a couple of the guys on the Car Club Committee up here (not Bimmersport...a few of us just jumped on the bandwagon), I think that there are about 7 or 8 of us getting them.It may not be too late though Carl, I'll find out for you. Cheers
  14. The price is $320 (incl GST) for the 6 lines, These are fully certified (and tagged) top quality brake lines. Cheers
  15. I'll be there, it is always a good night (even in the rain last year it was good fun). Cheers

    E30 Parts

The air flow meter is the same for both, and although the throttle body has a different part number, it is in fact exactly the same too (I am pretty sure). The reason I changes ECU is to try and get the 2.7 performing better. I don't think that you will see any advantages in the 2.0l by changing to a 325i ECU. I am pretty sure that performance won't decrease, but would doubt any increase (but give it a whirl, see if you can just borrow a 325i ECU off someone temporarily - they only take 2 minutes to swap in and out). I'd be interested if you get any improvments, if so, it could be a good upgrade for other 320i owners. Also, I have a pod filter in (which I am likely to change back to a K&N Panel filter, but maybe not till next summer, the pod will be ok for the winter). However I have been to lazy to heat shield it. At present I have the standard 325i exhaust (this was changed from the 320i one...but again I don't think theyare very different), however I have a badly fired cat still in place, but am getting this removed in the very near future. Cheers
  18. Hi While I am not bidding in the 525i, just want to wish you good luck with the custody battle, I bet it is all pretty tough. Cheers
  19. Gerry was talking about getting some custom made, I'm sure that there must be a decent one that can be bought off the shelf. I have read bad things about some so called performance pads, like EBC Greenstuffs. Cheers
  20. Hello Has anyone here had any experience with E30 performance brake pads (i.e. suitable for track and street use). With me (and others) planning to do the intermarque sprints, I want to have the brakes running well, and as little fade as possible. Our group buy of anodized black braided stainless steel brake lines will be here any day now, so I want to get performance pads as well. Cheers

    Rally Drive NZ

ahhhh, yeah, then the stage must be available for testing. There were some guys doing testing in a Subaru WRX Group N car (the one that Peggy Bourne was standing by when she was being interviewed for the news). They just mixed in with us and snuck their runs in between ours. Cheers
  22. My H&R Sports (E30) are a really deep purple too.Cheers

Yup, I'm all for your ride height staying as it is, you will look like every other ricer idiot if you 'slam' it too far. But hey, its your car you do what you like. Cheers
