  1. That's koooooool Matt...............nice!!
  2. And because its such a ba$tard to clean off - I just try to avoid using the brakes...............
  3. Hey there Ali - welcome to the site ae. Car looks good, from what ya can see in that pic. Good thing you've joined this chaos zone here, as the E30 is sooooo rarely seen here.......(only kidding - seems every man & his dog has got one......bar those of us with blue cars on style 42 wheels..!!!) No oil is seen in pic.............
  4. Yes, on both counts............ Some of the $hit tyres that are out there now are only fit even when new, as being used as 'boat buffers' at a wharf or in a kids playground IMO......... Cheap nasty tyres, & under inflated tyres, are definitely on my 'pet hate' list bigtime......... And Andy - its not as if we're talking bout a 'Amon Corolla' here ae, which DEFINITELY would be needing some high performance tyres under it......??!!
  5. What bout if front & rear of your car is blurred?? Lets try that - see if it loses a bit of shine ae......I'm hopefull........just for comparative purposes sorta thing.........
  6. That's cool!! Tidy car too. Unfinished Spaghetti wiring within cabin made me smile.
  7. and to a 1990's Hilux 4WD - stick the lastest CRD motor in it - then you'd have power, economy, & good off-road ability. Its the electronics that's the biggest hassle in amongst it all - I know of the odd older Landcruiser around that's had the lastest CRD V8 motor transplanted into them, making an awesome unit....... Interesting article re the Merc - note how both kw's, & torque have both tripled from its OE motor......... Diesel technology is changing all the time - on the new 2.2 CRD Mazda 6, the compression ratio is down to 14-1 now...........creating less internal stresses, quitter motor, etc etc.
  8. agreed, that's different, & koool - I've never seen one before!! GLWS........
  9. Unless type / make of tyre replacement was originally agreed to during the negotiations, I don't think theres much you can do really, as the dealer has honoured what they said they'd do by fitting 'new set of tyres' - what they have fitted meets NZTA legislative requirements, & at least they're not a triangle or Ling-long or some other nasty brand.....
  10. Welcome to the site ae - kool wording on your intro - good on ya........
  11. Heya Juggy - thanks for the explaination - its so much clearer now - if ya can'nt see the sun, & it doesn't let sun-light through it - its a sun-roof. If its night-time, & ya can see da moon on a clear night without roof being open - its a moon-roof ae........ So my car, & Ewan's 540 have got sunroofs.......... Ewan - glad Ray sorted it for ya & was so helpful.........sounds like a good deal to me overall for what it is anyway. Dare say I'll start to see it around a bit sometime, haha!! Looks brilliant in the pics really.
  12. Hokidoki - picture me off to Bunnings then when next in town...............might use a bit on the ride-on too & see if it'll turn into a John Deere.......... (Looks good!!)
  13. Maybe his boy-friend was distracting him then............
  14. Mine goes back & forth - tilts up, yada yada, but has no glass...........hole in roof in mine is called a 'moon-roof' then?? Not a sun-roof'?? Not hard to get confused here ae...........
  15. Awesome - $hit for brains pi$$-heads with money - means they can hit stuff faster......... Only redeeming bit to it is at least there wasn't any 'joe public' involved through being in wrong place @ wrong time........ Personally, I hope they stick this retards licence through a shredder..........
  16. Good stuff - this is the one then ae....??? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/540i/auction-642676249.htm Had to scroll back a bit to find it......... Bet 'Mum' is looking forward to that candle-lit tuna.............
  17. If it helps, I've brought lots of stuff sight unseen, both through reTardMe & Turners, & never been burnt yet............ (TOUCHING BIG BIT OF WOOD saying this!!)
  18. Lols - I seen that 1 earlier tonight too........
  19. Hi there. I'd be doing bit more checking - does the 'A' on the rego label not stand for 'auto'?? Is good in that its a 325, & manual though - I'd just check origins / background a bit, English isn't flash on the seller by looks of things via auction comments, so may not be getting points across as intended maybe. If you look here, theres 2 pics of same car - looks different colour in top picture?? Shading looks too different to just be light effects?? http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=fya774
  20. Hey there Clinton Not a blue meanie, or even a 308 powered Group 3, but apparently genuine............. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/holden/auction-636678603.htm Cheers ears - P.
  21. That's awesome!!! Looks extremely tidy - some-one has put some love into it in the past by looks of it...........
  22. Yes, I'd heard that too - been up through Turners a few times now. Bet the insurance company felt that payout. Theres been a few Lambo's biffed in NZ over the years, on road.......
  23. IMO, you need something that sends a message to your cellphone when it activates...........tracking option would be primo too.
  24. Slightly under-fed Doberman on the back seat.............. 'Thieves' & 'taggers' - real pet hates of mine big-time........
  25. Agreed!!! He'd be far better to spend a bit more & buy your car IMO - 318 auto, even with a downhill & tail wind is never gonna be the most exciting thing to actually drive. Depends what you're into I suppose though, & each to their own........ Stanced cars might 'look good' in some peoples eyes, but surely they must be a dog to drive while cornering, wet roads etc??? Is this maybe why NZTA has cracked down on them a bit harder??? I'm open to have my opinion corrected............ Been for sale for ages, which must be saying something............
