Hiya. Genuine rims, or stamped 'Not OE' on their backs?? Cheers.
-
Its alright, I'm well doing my bit to cancel out your economy, between my 540 & a diesel ute that does 15-16 litres / 100km in general running (of which probably 85% is open road running.......)
-
Looks great - let the mods begin............. Having the big motor in it is a plus too........ Edit - And a manual box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Super bonus!
-
Nice E30 in main shopping centre, Hawera today, being driven by a 'young guy' - looked neat, some-ones given it some love along the way while tweaking it a bit!!
-
Rodgey that - makes sense now. They look great, I really like mine, but everytime I wash it I remember you saying they're #$%%$#!@$%^^#$ to keep clean........I mutter various curses everytime...........

Just been for a drive today, around 450ish kms - made a bit of a hole in the $140 of fuel that went into the little beast last night. Ok, this is technically an old car, but gee they are quick point to point when ya want them to be........I'm well impressed with it!! They're comfy, they handle fairly well, they're a 'nice sized' vehicle, in terms of chuckability & the size of its footprint on the ground, & they seriously boogie & haul a$$ when ya want it to............. Those big line-ups of 'sheep' dawdling along at 75-80 kph on the open road - 'S' on the trans button means "See ya later, we're gonski"..........when coupled with a bit of right foot........
-
Cleaned it late last night........................ Then just drove it today, lots - 450kms........longest trip I've done in it.............. Gee but they go well.................
-
I've heard Sabine....................................is the new Stig........... Theres a video around somewhere of her losing a race car at over 200kph, when a rear tyre blew - she did a great job while having a wild ride.............
-
Style 42's, look different on the link than what the ones I've got look like...........
-
Lols - That's a statement a bit like having had a 'practice wife'..........
-
Primo - nice find there!!! Ya wouldn't want to be dyslexic or semi-pi$$ed when you're looking at that - there is a couple there......... What ones are we lining up for your car.........??? Wheels, then tint the girl, then springs...................
-
Yes, definitely - 17's could be the start of 'pimp my ride'!!! No justification needed, specially given how many km's (opps, my bad - miles) you're doing per day in the poor thing. Once you're getting into the stage of lowering springs etc, you might have to splash out for a new vacuum cleaner or something though too, just to level up the playing field a bit for your other half....... Reminds me, Xmas is not far away ae.........

Good move - now at least it'll be breathing nice clean pure air...................

Have you put GPS speed vs speedo speed?? Theres a big difference sometimes, which also affects OBC figures - theres no doubt in my mind the diesel is really economical though. Nice that its on Castrol - I've had an awesome run from Castrol products over the years, in everything I own - their motorbike oils rock too IMO.........

Lols - I'd have thought you'd be getting that anyway Tristan.................... -
Must be a New Plymouth thing then - all I've heard is he's a goooood ba$tard............. Maybe the chip on your shoulder is affecting your comms skills a bit............

I look at it the other way Andy - if they are queer about things, or hard to get along with, then whats the odds I'll tip money outa my pocket into their dealership 'later on'?? As an eg; Local Mitsi dealer had over 100k outa me in 3 years, on 2 x new utes & servicing, & then they shafted me on some warrenty issues & a $600 bill which a independent 3rd party said 'was their workshops fault'. They then wouldn't 'play the game, or do 'what was right', so vehicle came outa the workshop for the last time @ 11 months old, & went straight onto Trade-me..........."You are the weakest link, Good-bye". I wouldn't pi$$ on the local Misti dealer's doorstep to warm it up, & I'll never ever own any of their product again...........
-
Awesome write up!! Keep them coming as life / kms progress on it ae.........that's impressive mileage, & mpg...........

Heres a wee story for ya then Darren............. At 16 yrs old, sole back seat passenger in a major car accident in Southland on a Friday night - at open road speeds our car hit / got hit by another vehicle in RHR door. The impact broke our car in half, looked like it had been cut with a knife behind front seats & at A pillars, there was 30m between the 2 halves & I was ejected out during the impact. Some of the things that have stuck in my mind....... * Waking up on the road, with a stranger leaning over me, & telling him 'Don't let traffic run me over' as first words. Then just laying there, fading in & out, & hearing the sounds of sirens approaching in the distance, thinking it was the best sound in the world.......... * Being extremely lucky with the surgeon I was 'given' - young guy, probably not long outa med school at the time called Murray Fosbender. I had multiple surgeries from him over the next 12 months, & he 'rebuilt me', rather than an amputation that would have probably happened if I had got some of the older surgeons that were in orthopaedics at the time - I'll always be eternally grateful to him. (I tracked him down a few Xmas's ago, & told him this). * Being told after one of the surgeries, I'd never ride motorbikes again - I'd already been riding since 8 yrs old & loved them. I'm still proving that statement 'wrong', but the day will come where the pain of doing so over-rides the desire I suppose.....I changed the style of bike I ride in my 30's, thus I've only had Ducati's since then. * I've always remembered how good morphine is, when you really need it, & the pain when you're waiting the last hour before the next jab........ I've done all sorts of stuff since then with vehicles, including competition stuff - never any accidents (touch wood)!!! I suck bigtime as a passenger, & I tend to have low tolerance for drink driving, poor driving skills & in general, 'muppets' on our roads......... Was a very defining experience from which I learnt lots, some of which never really sunk in properly until years later.

Toyota Dealerships in NZ tend to really look after their customers............heres a neat BMW story that blows them outa the water IMO.... Its interesting that in the video, it states they deliver 22,000 vehicles ex this site per year........???!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=189KFuGHVVo Well I liked it anyway............
-
Yea, they gave me the history, no hassles. The line you've been fed is a just a cop out IMO - theres no valid reason for them NOT giving you the history so long as they are not giving you any identifying info about previous owners. They're just being d1cks about it............
-
Jeff Gray ended up with the service records - if you go into any of their branches they will be able to see any history from any JG dealership, & also Shelly BMW. Been there, done that already with my little beast, as it has dealer service history since birth.......
-
Bugger......................!!!!! Hopefully ya can duct tape it / be creative on convincing it to finish the job............
-
I'm picking any passengers won't be forgetting it in a hurry.......... and its always better if its 'some-one elses'..........
