Brian Roberts Towing, Papakura I think?? Have used them a few times to drag treasures around - I'd recommend them no worries, & have always been well priced. Or, just bjuy a plane ticket & some fuel & drive it back........I've done that a few times too.
-
I've had same, & 'time-outs' on trying to change my password........... Funny thing is when the puzzle code says 'incorrect', I know it was definitely done 'correctly'..........
-
Must be the week for them - theres a blue E34 540i much like mine on nice wheels floating around Palmy, looks mint, & looks NZ new 94/95 going off it having a rego that starts with 'T'........... And, a while back either in here or on Tm, there was a silver E34 540i that was really nice, with plate BM 540 - seen that getting around today too........
-
First time I've ever seen it floating around, & I thought it just looked awesome................!!!! Was raining when he pulled up beside me, & he had the sunroof tilted - cracked me up bigtime - sweet car........
-
Tourings always make me take a 'double look' as such, as they're relatively rare I think - red E30 Touring spotted in Palmy today FLE### rego - looked like its been tricked & loved a bit - looked great...& made me smile seeing it.....!!!!!
-
They're not really sitting on a E39 rear seat in that pic ae............ On a serious note, what do you think of it overall..........??
-
That's ^^^^^^ bloody funny re 4.4 logic....................gotta admit I know nada bout VANOs, bar I consistently hear its a bit of a problem child on 6's & 8's............. And hey, he's your drinking buddy, in your neighbourhood................. Edit; sooooo, 'how do I make my coffee table go round corners better??' would be next way that'd pan out I'd predict...............
-
I hate them, with a vengeance, always have - always will. Even as a kid. Flood / fire we can flee to better ground (as such), earthquakes less so at times. Same with the thought of tornados like they get in the states doesn't spin my wheels much either.............
-
Opps, "Sorry" - missed this post on previous page Darren................ Edit - yea Allan, I'm picking it was a 'start in wrong place' more than anything.............
-
I'd love to buy that blue one - this black one, less so.....................
-
I'm confident my coffee table will be fast enough whether it's a 3.0 or 4.0 V8 version............. Preferably without VANOS, as I don't wanna be fixing that bit...........
-
Bummer - Just been a saga for ya so far ae, & it's not even fitted yet................has it missed being wedding transport or still a chance it'll be done in time?? If it 'rattles', turn the stereo up a bit more than usual, or tweak the exhaust a bit...............
-
I agree with what you're saying in that Paul, & yes, theres validity in 'it's beyond our resources' too - hopefully NZ will get a chance to financially recover a bit before we have any more major negative events occur....... I'm a big believer in that ya can't 'cover yourself for everything', but in amongst it, we are also probably a bit guilty at times of becoming a bit complacent about things - as today has shown us it could be any of us at any time getting tangled up in something like happened in Christchurch....... Edit. A mate in Palmy had a pushbike bounce off his car in the shed, from where it was hanging up in the rafters, plus a bit of other stuff. In general, its probably been a great thing it's been anniversary day for Wellington / Manawatu today, so haven't had people trying to decamp outa office blocks etc.....
-
This, is pure gold!! Only in the South Island of NZ would there be a pic like this - awesome!!
-
Apparently theres also few china cabinets in Palmy that have toppled over............& turned into expensive shrapnel on the floor....... Might be a few chimneys like that around Jamie - they've virtually banned brick ones down in Chch now........
-
I think we should wait with baited breath for the project thread..........4200 views, 420 odd posts, & umm, still no car brought........ Dead horse...........flogged sorta thing??
-
Lols - wouldn't be a hard-case fisherman by chance..............?? You're right - reception is rubbish out there. Apparently Vodaphone is struggling with call loading etc at mo..........
-
Totally agree with ya Glenn - I go to Chch regulary, & had spent 10yrs in Canterbury before I moved to where I am now. IMO, its just disgusting how it's panned out for lots of people down there since the quakes........... Canterbury people are really neat, durable & fairly resilient, but 3 yrs later to still be living in garages etc, its just not right........... Personally I just find the place depressing when I'm down there for any length of time these-days........which is sad, as I think its a awesome place, with primo people. Yea, can imagine that Jamie - I'm glad for no upstairs bits here.........
-
Theres just gotta be damage around further south............imagine how nervous EQC are feeling right now............
-
Hmmm, felt that one - 6.3 earthquake outa Castlepoint!!!! Fingers crossed no damage around.......... That was really ugly - bounced outside when it started to see garage & the power lines moving waaaay more than they should be.......
-
Was a 540, but yea, I figured car / he would be stuck in other's memories too........ Did'nt like being told what he was doing was actually illegal........ Edit - http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/46305-1994-540is-special/?hl=540is

Hi Mark. Best of luck with the sale. I've had that same guy screw with my auctions before too - I blacklisted him to put a end to it. I've 'bumped heads' with him in here too as he's a member - its the same guy that a while back swapped ID's & plates etc, on converting a crashed E34 540is into a different coloured 'genuine' 540is through doing a box swap etc on a 540ia he brought............
-
Yea, couldn't really tell what it was / had been until I lifted the bonnet, as it's been parked up in a public place, put up onto blocks, & some bored retard has since smashed all the windows, lights, trashed the interior etc....... Shame really as it was quite a straight tidy car when first parked up.

Any one in Napier starting a project ? Isetta

Apparently they're worth a fair bit going off these links - makes the one is Southland look viable for a restore anyway............. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Other-COMPLETE-GROUND-UP-RESTORATION-/181299703296 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Other-300-/191039601090 http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Other-COMPLETE-HIGH-LEVEL-GROUND-UP-RESTORATION-/390744077946 Last one here equates to around $45k NZD............. -
I think Jared is pointing out something that's often forgotten or over-looked - 'quality tyres at the right pressure'..........especially given how much cheap rubbish in terms of tyres is sold in NZ these-days...... Just because its black, holds air, & is mostly 'round' doesn't mean much..........
