Hmm, your engine is missing a few bits.. mine have a hook at the very front. My e34 has an M50 NV all setup and working perfectly (I just replaced all the vac lines) I can go out and look if you want later.

Clips are the white things the regulator uses to move the window. I would replace these, as I had one break recently... $15 per window and the window moves very slick now. the guides are at the sides of each windows, where the window sits in, I found it a little difficult to get it back in. that's if the E36 is the same as the E34.

Disagree.People are what make BMW Electrical systems problematic. but try disconnect your battery for 10 mins, and see if it comes back (it probably will) then take it to somewhere that can scan it properly, like the dealer...

Mm yeah, $25 each atm.. was too wet and I couldn't be bothered working out how long each one needed to be. Have the Repco Hydroblades on my E30, have the same issue, passenger one doesn't sit flush, the stock wipers never sat that flush there either. - money well spent though. today, I rewired my E34 to use ISO sockets for the headunit, and tested the carkit I was given which required ISO sockets... worked good.. now just to get around to it... and also ragequitted at the JVC headunit flying out and landing on my lap! and installed my Clarion from my E30.

Indicators on the E34 are done in the LKM, it could have Dodgy solders.. Under the dash the relay for the indicators is purely there to make noise, the one on the stalk Brent sold me, seriously two wires... there to make noise lol. Considered a different stalk or something?
