Mortgage with ASB Business banking with ANZ Savings with Kiwibank Used to be National Bank as well National Bank - too much sales pitch, internet banking a bit useless but that's 6 years ago. Not sure how much has changed since. Other banks all good, no complains. Kiwibank fees and interest rate seems cheaper and you can do banking at any post office and those little book stores with PostShop in it. ANZ, National and ASB all have branch in shopping malls these days that open 7 days (for Auckland, Albany Westfield and Silvia Park). Limited staffing means somethings will take ages to wait or not able to do at all (like some complicated loan, mortgage, some insurance and investment products) I don't like with ASB that each EFTPOS card can only have 1 account. If you have 2-3 accounts, you'll have 2-3 cards. With ANZ, I have 4 accounts on my card. (3 accessible on EFTPOS, 4th one ATM only) Online banking - Used all, I like bits of each bank. ASB to ASB transfer are cleared instantly (even to different person), Kiwibank have extra security and dedicated mobile internet banking site. ANZ is in the progress to make some changes, but at the moment works a bit funny with iPhone/iPad browser. My experience, hope these help.

Light bulbs are half price include the "performance" bulbs (+50, super white, etc...) Engine oil 20% off, found Shell Helix Ultra (the only BMW LL01 approved oil on the shelf) 1l - $13.xx (this was out of stock for months, perfect top-up oil) 5l - $62.xx (almost $30 cheaper than Repco) both price incl discount. No, I don't work for them. Just want to pass on the words... Edit: spelling

Maybe SmartCars, they do Porsche rental. Friend of mine rented a Cayenne a while back. Most rental of this kind are 25 years or older only. What about one of those Track day experience, you probably can't drive the car, but will get a hot lap or two in one.

I like this more than the E60.

Common occurrence. Surely someone can claim under the Consumer Guarantees Act for that has to be "durable". Number plate should last the lifetime of the car.

as topic... I know the UK version of the Ultimate Diesel has a higher Cetane number compare to normal. But in the PR blurp here in NZ, there is no mentioning of higher performance, etc... Can anyone confirm the Cetane number bit? Beside this, has anyone use the new diesel? How does it feel? Better, same, indifferent?

What do you use for for GPS navigation on your iPhone?
my_e36 replied to simke's topic in General Discussion
I just use the inbuilt map application. Sure there's no turn by turn as you drive, but map the route before you travel and store it in your head. If I got stuck, just fire the Map app up from wherever I got stuck and do it from there. -
Recommendations on the North Shore/Auckland CBD/Dominion road area for
my_e36 replied to fatjoez's topic in Maintenance
If it's NZ new, don't the dealer include servicing? But then, unless you drive VERY hard, I doubt you've reached the service interval. North Shore -> I used Jerry Clayton before with good service CBD & Dominion Road -> BMWorkshop (Grey Lynn, just off Bond St) -
Seen this on a E91 Touring. 3M Di-NOC CA421 Carbon Fibre vinyl

Looks like a robot out of a Transformers movie. I don't like the movie but I like the car.

Not quite, the law only say your car must have rego at all time. So in their case, they will have to prove they do indeed have rego at the time the ticket was issued. Target program mentioned it a week or two ago, the council will be in the wrong to enforce the ticket if the car is legit even it was without a proper rego sticker displayed. So, get the proof and send in a letter(s) until it's waived.

Will this work in a e46 with factory Harman Kardon upgrade?

I have no idea why but I would thend to say it's the dash protectant getting evaporated. I clean all windows every second week, so it's not too bad.

In your PayPal account, setup the seller section so you'll be linking up your NZ bank account details in your profile. Then when you want to withdraw the PayPal balance into your NZ bank account, let them know and they will TT it into your account. Depends on what currency in your PayPal account is holding, there is some conversion charge/fees involved to the tone of few percents. To receive TT, you'll need to give the buyer your bAnk account number and your bank's swift code (ask your bank for this). I believe there are fees at both ends (I.e. to send and to receive), which in NZ is around $10

Definitely not PostShop. But compliance centres like VTNZ and VINZ yes.

I was out in town in central Auckland, cold and windy already. That weather map sure looks ugly.

My car was made in Spain and yes it's a diesel. Even with RUC, it's bloody cheap to run. As some of you know I am a courier using that as my delivery car. 80% inner Auckland-city driving, 45 litre tank ($50-ish to fill), I do 600km per tank easy while on the job. On out-of-town delivery where 90%+ motorway, I've recorded ~1080km on a single tank.

Where was the phone purchased? If bought in a chain store and make a big enough (of firm but polite) fuss, you should be able to get it replaced at store level by the manager. Despite their hefty retail price tag, the actually cost relatively little.

I love my diesel car, sadly RUC is going up (again) along with GST at 1 Oct.

Buses are bad, many times they try to run me off into oncoming traffic when lanes are merging.

Built quality eh... don't get me started in my VW Polo It's a 2007 model, 111k on the clock control arm bushes, 2x radio replaced (1 faulty, 1 recalled), air con, DPF, rounded off cam lobe on 1 cyclinder (weird, but under warranty)

Funny you mention that, I do prefer the door closing sound of my old e36 coupe over my current e46 coupe. I do like the sound my BMW makes when lock/unlock. It sound solid yet crisp unlike any Jappa that just merely a thump.
