Something different. Suppose that sunroof doesn't work unless it's modified to retract over the roof panel. Love frameless windows in a ute. Very cool.

If that's true, this might be something new. I bought my car as Premium Selection last year and got 2 years service plan and warranty from Team McMillan. I've been in for couple of warranty repairs and they are ok. I previously had good experience with Jerry Clayton's off-site service centre on Silverfield, Wairau Valley and Grey Lynn's BM Workshop for servicing.

Sorry for the low quality cell phone pix but seen a few of these tour coaches around and the headlight looks remarkably close to the ones on E39, thoughts?

Besides the extra current draw, the glass looks way too blue judging from the photo. It may give you the white colour but will not give you the brightness. There is no mentioning of them being E-marked (to be road legal in Europe) or having UV-glass (to prevent clouding up plastic light housing), I would be very cautious towards those bulbs if I were you.

Can park a truck in there. Envy!

ONE - True and it works. TWO - I haven't tried and doubt it, does it work for both IR and RF remotes? THREE - *3370# code only works in Nokia phones and it actually enables EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) which gives you better sound quality and DECREASE talk time by around 5%. It should be #3370# that disables it to give you more battery. Besides, it should have been *4720# to enable HR (Half Rate) that gains up to 30% talk time. FOUR - There's a special form at Voda to fill in for this and need police report in support of the application. Even then it doesn't gaurantee they will actually bar the phone. For Telecom phone on CDMA, you'll need the ESN number instead.

No doubt there will be game+console bundle when the game comes out - if you can wait.

You are right, whiter (higher K-degree) doesn't mean brighter (higher lumens). It's why I went for the Plus-50 version of the white bulb. So I get an upgrade in both aspects. My e36 uses H1 in both high and low beam, which has a Bosch ellipsoid housing.

The physics model wasn't that bad, personally I prefer the physics of GT over NFS series. Or maybe I should play NFS more often to get use to that. I bought the PS3 pretty much for the GT5, but it's been almost 3 years. I hope it's worth it. I won't be pre-ordering seeing that there's hardly any discount. I'll wait for launch day.

Personally, I am not a believer of paint protection system. Many car dealer sell them as add-on and tell me how I don't have to wax the car again for 3 years. I would have save the money, buy some wax then wax the car over and over again. My parent got talked into it once but I reckon 1 year after, although it still has the shine and water still beads on the surface, it lack the depth on the shine that give the rich luster of a good wax has. Read on the internet couple of years back that some nut-case (a detailer by trade in UK) wax his own car like 3-4 times a week for 3 month straight to see what effect it has. Need to dig this out but it was a good read.

Rubbing compound is not a replacement for clay bar. Clay bar is a surface prep product that clean contaminants that cling on the paint surface that you can't washed away with normal wash. Rubbing compound is more or less a polish, making fine scratches less visible. Wax is a protective barrier, it should be the last step. So you should polish before wax. If the whole treatment system is done properly, it's easily a full day or even 2 days work. This is why it cost mega-bucks to have a car "detailed". (which is different to "groom")

By saying HID replacements, I presume you mean up-rated filament bulbs (or so called xenon bulb)? I recently bought some from SuperCheapAuto, the brand is Calibre in blue packaging. It was the "Plus50 + White" version, I was pleasantly surprised with how good it is. The guys in the shop said they are E-marked with UV glass and made in Germany and only cost $49. Compare to Philips branded one from Repco cost over $80. My car uses H7 though, so the price might be different for your application.

Holden runs a advanced driver training course that they teach you using your own car. Full day course at a track around $400.

Had that HP one before, it failed to mention the HP is much heavier with very limited battery life. I have an iPhone and I bought the iPad 3G yesterday. Love it already, ideal piece of tech to go online anywhere in the house. Read magazines when out for coffee, etc. My wife is gonna have that to play music and have online cookbook displayed while cooking. I used less of the computer since I had the iPhone as much of my email and quick bimmersport sessions are done on iPhone. now it looks like with an IPad, I will use my computer even less.

No excuse to text'n'drive. What's a few minutes to pull over before replying? Better be (replying) late than dead or worse - kill someone. While on this subject, talk'n'drive are widely ignored. Love to see stronger enforcement on this one. This is potentially more harmful than using bus-lane. Should give the rights for parking warden to issue talk'n'drive infringements, since they have the camera on hand. They can film it, then force the car owner to reveal who's behind the wheel and then send a ticket.

I concur with Wom, my 323i was about the same, 550-580km per tank in Auckland probably 50-50 city/motorway. Strangely, my new 330Ci can do the same k despite larger cc rating and heavier.

Toe on break that's for sure. I find it hard to do this in city, not enough speed/rev to warrant doing it. But if driven more "lively", sure. Left foot brake is usually done on FWD cars to help traction. Can't do this on a VW or Audi though, ECU kills the power when you do this.

Always put more RAM as you can afford, 4GB is pretty much minimum these days. Even laptop comes with 4GB standard. On a desktop, if you can afford it, get a SSD or 10000rpm drive as a operating drive (OS, apps, page file, etc...) and a high capacity drive as a storage drive. This practice comes in handy when it comes to maintain/upgrade time.

Totally different brand/clientele is hardly a good comparison in sales figure. USA is BMW's biggest market I've read somewhere. All those recall probably doesn't help the Lexus figure even if it's only by association with Toyota.

Don't the factory ones fit under the seat? http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e5...tinguisher.html

Isn't there some place that you can put on a rolling road to have that verified? If you are actually doing 48km while indicated 60, you will never done for speeding for sure!

Just finished watching, always an enjoyable show.
