exact same thing happened to me. Funnily enough I even Jump started a holden (and left the radio going while working on the car) At one point I had to charge it every night and it would lose charge in a few hours. After a few days of this it just gave in and I had to get a new battery. I'm assuming the battery was getting old. My alternator doesn't charge as expected under FULL load, but the new battery hasn't caused me any grief.

go for an old 5 series the E28 528i is quicker than the E39 530i by the sounds of it But again. It's a luxury car not really a performance vehicle.

on the open road? It was Christchurch to Nelson a tiny bit of driving around Nelson and back to Christchurch. about 1 1/2 tanks. (800ish ks) a little bit of up hill down hill and its a very bendy trip, admittedly I wasn't driving like I was on holiday. My aim was to make good time haha. So the revs got up a bit on corners etc. The milage could have been a bit better...

open road = 634ks per tank (60L) town = 350ks per tank (60L) I hate town

I've seen black tinted tail lights on white cars and personally I think they look naf. i think the front and side indicators would look nice black but tail lights id go for all red or stock. Unless of course you just tint them yourself with glass paint. That will give you this look, which i think looks awesome! Just my opinion

FINALLY! Gold on the Lotus Elise Top Gear special event. That look me the majority of the day hahaha. The funny thing is, the run looks terrible! but meh. If you're still stuck on it this might help.
