If you lowered the aerial, that would have been another 5kph!!! It was a killer whale with parkinsons. I dont think the 5 would be one of the easiest to drive.

how often had it been serviced? New filters and oil?

The old dude has worked on my car. Would recomend. for sure. Plus the team at Sherson Auto (Sherson Ave, Greerton). Steve and the guys are tops and deff are competitive and stand behind their work. Been going their for years.

haha.

Just take your time and be careful.

No, its Greypower limiting the younger generations fun. Its not your fault. Thats why I only go back to Tauranga every so often. Plus mum cooks the best dinners and theres always food in the fridge. I wonder if that limo would over heat in daytime bridge traffic craw. That white 318i e30 limo with drums is so much more classer than that.

Whats sort of time frame you looking at?

Does this idle surge happen when under slight acceleration aswel? Is your e36 an early japanese import? My mums M40 powered E30 auto has the same problem. Its been to the mechcanic's to be looked at but nothing came up. All checks have been carried out but found nothing. The car runs prefect 99.99% of the time but sometimes this little gremlin pops its head out for a few minutes before it goes away again. Strange, yes. I think this problem is in the DME programming.

too much money. not enough sense.

Do you know what an e30 smash/skid plate looks like? Because my 325i was so low, I needed it anyway. It saved me carrying around a spare sump. If I need oil, I just call *222, easy.

were thos pic's take on the corner of Gargan rd??

the more you fight the power, the stronger it becomes. it feeds on the negative energy and will prevent you from watching 'the crowd goes wild' on prime. or while that programe is on, you should watch porn, at least its more real and you can learn stuff. i just watched the 9th ep of the 2nd season of weeds. more sex and drug abuse than any hospital. i dont know what shortland st is. Never seen it before.

hmmmm....reminds me of a video i got off r3v a while ago, an alternative way to shift stick. lol. Sleeper cabs on trucks is the right idea. Dam, turbo timer kept turning off the engine after 2minutes.

I had a bash plate to protect the plug. Plus the plug is hollow. I always kept a spare plug in the tool tray. Just in case.
-
I have a catch can with a drain at the bottom and one near the top. I plumbed the bottom one back into the sump. I drilled a hole through the centre of the sump plug and welded a barb on to it. So i did not have to modify the sump.

Your friends avoid talking to you about BMWs! Im screwed.

Anyone have a green clip that the cruise control plug into on the back of the IC? They can sell me.

I would have any stock 2002 or 2002tii If i had a choice in engine, a 2002 with a rx8 engine and gearbox.
-
buy a complete set of new studs and nuts if your are keen to replace all of them. Might save you the hassel of risking a breakage again.

I was under the impression that mtbboy's comments were based on engine cc size comparisons not power. a 13b rota vs 1300cc piston. The one thing i would stop talking about is gas usage, if owned a rotary.
-
Rota's use alot of gas because every cycle has a power 'stroke'. not 1 out of every 4. Same reason as some racing trucks are 2 strokes. They are able to create more power over a shorter amount of time.
