I was runing an oil pressure sender/switch unit in my black car. It had two terminals on the sender unit, one for the oil pressure signal and the other post was for a buzzer. The guages and sender units i used were all VDO stuff. I had ENZED make up a T-join so i could mount the factory oil sender switch and the after market switch in the factory place.

you will also need to decide what you will do with the oxy sen. run it in closed loop or open loop. with or without, in other words. if your racing it, you should not need it. so you can dump as much fuel in as poss.

in my black e30, the starter motor only started when cold. So the first morning start was all good. but as soon as the starter motor warmed up from the engine heat, i would not want to go. Even using jumper cables did not do anything. The fault was the plastic bushes that bmw use to hold the centreshaft of the starter motor, perished. I pulled the starter motor apart and took the SM to an auto sparky in Htown. He measured up the size of the bush and put it back together myself. Very easy. So for $25, i got some brass bushes made up as direct replacements. Instead of buying a new SM.
