Spotted in the Royal Oak Auckland carpark of Pak N Save, a very nice Red E36 coupe in full motorsport trim with some AC add ons, black 5 spoke AC wheels etc.
Had plate starting with TS.... I actually left my work card under the wiper with a compliment - anyones car from here perhaps?
This one?

Looks like someone imported one from the UK:

Its a big ask price wise for the kms though isnt it?
Speaking of the kms it looks like it was imported in miles then converted to km's after the boarder check.
-
NZ new,200,000 km`s certainly up there for a e46 M3.
Says its an import (6,350kms at border check).
-
Have been in touch with Glen ... and he has provided some pricing and feedback - very helpful.
Can you tell me, do you know him personally and seen his products or just word of mouth?
Sorry for the late reply Tom, I missed this. Yes Ive seen Glens work, its pretty impressive.
-
Thanks.
Broken wire, all sorted now.
-
The fuel gauge stopped working on my GF's 1998 E36 318is MS. Any idea what it could be? Is this a common problem? I guess its the float but could be wrong.
-
Ive never seen a non airbag E36 M3 before.
-
This on the southern motorway last night - tidy.
Thats a mate of mine, lives the Havelock North and was up for the HD meeting.
-
Congratulations.
Would love to help detail it after a few years of sitting I bet it could use a good clean and paint correction.
Youre keen, a 9 hour round trip to detail the car?
-
Try Glen at http://carbontechnik.co.nz/
He loves cars and has made some super cool carbon car parts.

Great buy on the CSL ... it's gone to a good owner guys, someone capable of bringing it back to its former glory. (and no it's not me, that'd be greedy haha).
Lots of bargains to be had at that auction from what I've heard ... wish I'd picked up the GT3 : )
Not that its run down, refurb the wheels and a couple of other small things. Its a nice car as it sits, just a few little things to make it mint.
But yes, it has got to a good home.
-
Slowly to $35k then JUMP to $50k left them stunned. Awesome bid. Was not me
Yip, great strategy by the purchaser.
-
Wow...
What did the GT3 go for? I harbour desires for one, although it'd have to be older, I'd have to sell all the other cars and drive a 90s Honda to work ... and worse I don't think I could get a GT3 into my garage given the 60mm ground clearance.
114K.
-
CSL $50k
What happened to everyone?
-
Went to see this today - Very odd it has 255s on the rears.
Thats within spec isnt it?
-
Good on you Ray!! Good luck : )
If you win and part it out let me know : P
Why do you think anyone would part it Tom?
-
Whys that ? would expect it to go for around 60k which is a bargin
I was referring to the Turners estimate of between 22-25K.
-
Anyone sitting round with sweaty palms and their pants sticking out thinking they are going to get this car for a bargin will be bitterly disappointed.
-
My Father owned this M3 quite a few years ago, it was a nice car. Shame the heart has been ripped out of it.
-
Someone should buy this?
http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d138695945
Should be able to get it on the road as a special interest car?
-
Hi,
http://www.supersprint.com/en/prod-270-714...280BA___92.aspx
for road car front and rear mufflers required.
cod: 783203 & cod: 783206.
Did you get one? If so where from? And what did it cost you?
-
Evo II heads with a Milltek the rest of the way is a gun setup. Sounds awesome too.
Keep an X or Y pipe in the system otherwise you're going to lose major amounts of midrange.
Sadly Milltek dont make exhausts for the E30 M3 anymore, but thanks for the advice.
-
Would I find a performance exhaust for an E30 M3? If so where would I be best to look?
Just after from the headers back, might even consider a good condition second hand factory system.
Imported e39 M5 registered as a special interest vehicle in NZ?

Tom, with that logic E30 M3's wouldnt be allowed as its a E30 chassis.
Are Type R's rare?
