No no no, it sure doesn't "need" an exhaust? Would love to see it in the flesh, blardy wicked project.
-
Rover needs, 200hp more. Tail light bulb and front side light bulb. Drivers seat re-trim. To be lots louder. More petrol than I can imagine =D
-
16 imperial miles per gallon, 17L/100KM off the top of my head conversion? That's average before a tune [had to be run with choke half open....fail] Holley carb + V8 = serious fuel economy.....
-
Few more details dude? Dirty 202, 253 or 308? Kms.... Not just masterton, Dannevegas has some fairly dirtbag VC/H/Ks hangin' round.
-
End result looks great! I hate that fiber glass reinforced bog, but, sometimes you just need it
-
Nice looking E30 mate. Can't believe it had more rust than my British bugger..... Get that spot welded panel re-done too, that's going to rust again. Love the interior shot too!
-
Great little buggers the Alto! Have been thinking about getting one as a second car in the near future, but, they all seem over priced.
-
So much awesome! Every time someone starts building a nice looking E30 I get excited and start thinking E30 thoughts..... I think I'll add E30 manuals to my list of what to buy when I sell my boat.
-
I'm not asking what that costs.
-
Wow....That just ruined my day! I should have 8k at the end of this year to throw around. I think I'll keep looking for a reasonable 944....
-
No, I belive they are more along the lines of 40ft....The Rover is 15ft. How much is a manual 540i worth these days?
-
Want. Swap for a 14ft boat, do it, I said so.

The 2.3 was a turd. The 2.8 on the other hand is a beaut of a motor for it's age. The good ol' Granada had the 2.8 with K-Jet injection didn't it? somewhere between 170-180hp. Same as the Cologne Capri [Nom nom nom] which were such a bleeding grouse car! Huffer, what did you pay for your Cortina? I want....
-
Looks great dude, slam it on Msport kit with a rear lip spoiler and you have the perfect look for an E36 sedan! I'd rock it.
-
I love the power delivery of the 325i....But a 328i is even better, big enough difference in torque and only use a smidgen more fuel than my 320i did. Get a 328i if you can. End of story.

I haven't had any interesting cars yet. 1, 89 Mazda Familia 4spd 1300. 2, 85 Laser 5spd 1300. 3, 89 Starlet 1.3 5spd 4, 87 Galant AMG 5, 87 Galant 2.0 beige spec. 6, 86 Honda legend, owned for about 6 hours and the cambelt snapped. 7, 90 525i M20 in silver 8, 90 525I M20 in white 9, 90 Toyota Celica GT-R, 5spd 4WS, TEMS. 10, 73 E12 520, 4spd. 11, 96 Hyundai Lantra 12, VN commonwhore 4cyl turd. 13, 60 Morrie. 14, 52 Morrie. 15, 94 E36 320I Coupe. 16, 73 Rover P6B V8. Bikes, 1, 87 GPZ400R, gearbox exploded..... 2, 04 GN250E, was a logical idea and one of the worst ideas I've had. 3, 92 Honda BROS650, worked over for a BROS650, made 71hp at the wheel and an 11s quarter. 4, 89 Honda VT250J Spada, ened up with fairings and making 36hp t the wheel, a wee bit more with the Nitro in the tank.

It will be an interesting toy to own, the maintenance will be a bit of fun too. I agree on the twisties and the 328i, I would rather drive my old E36 around any corner. But I can't expect such an old car to handle. The bonnet and boot are alloy, the rest is steel. Yes, Rover designed it for a turbine, which is why it has the super odd suspension in the front. I do like how smooth it is. I think I'll get a Mig and tickle the exhaust a bit. -
Such a nice car the E55, big grunt for the money too. How can someone buy a VT Clubsport or VY SS over an E55? Same money....
-
That's grouse! Love it.
-
Very straight to the point Glenn and I agree on all counts. I've owned one lowered car out of 16 or 17 in total. Don't see the point of ruining the ride/handling compromise and depleteing the scrub radius etc. It does look cool in my opinion to have a low ish car, but, I still prefer the standard way of things. I specificaly hate cut springs, terrible things and anyone with them should be burnt. They are they reason the Police have to enforce cruising laws and anti race laws. Bunch of narrow minded twits the lot of them.

Yeah the touring apck was uber cool, I might look into in the future. She sounds horny as hell when the Vac secondaries come open..... -
Sounds a bit like "you will be far better off after the tax cuts" to me. Or "Helen IS a woman". Load of tripe, like the cute little intake fan thingymajigs the Integra drivers buy to make thier VTEC go hard ow. I should put a fuel star on the Rover and see if I can get better than it's 16L/100km.......

Why must the ACC levy be payed for the car? The car doesn't need medical attention. We should be paying an ACC tax on our lisence each year, that way for people with multiple vehicles, we don't go broke. The LOGICAL thing to do, is to pay ACC on our lisence isn't it? We can't drive/crash/maim/murder etc in more than one vehicle at a time. Stupid money grabbing tyrant of a system, I'm going to write to them and call them iconoclasts and ectoplasms and other unfriendly names! There are many issues I could warble about with the way ACC gets it's "greedy hands" [Nobody ever mentions how helpful they are! I have had multiple back operations thanks to ACC, if I never got them I would bwe even more of a mess] on our money and how it distributes said money. At the end of the day, sic friatur crustum dulce.

Probably should get around to polishing and cleaning it?

Touche, I'll stand corrected then and discard my silly magazines, either way I don't mind, I have a P6B finally and that tickles my fancy.Hotwire, the lights have been redone, albeit the flasher unit, which, being lucas is shagged. The alternator has been reco'd ofcourse....because that happens with a lucas item. So nothing worrying is left thank goodness. Strangely the only mechanical probelms so far have been due to a poorly rebuilt holley....and the only electrics that are sad are the lucas oil pressure sender and the flasher unit [about to be replaced]. It doesn't even have the scungy lucas fusebox! The switches have all held up great and work as switches tend to work....which is a bonus, they have held up better than my E12 had, so has the interior and mechanicals. So, not too bad for an NZ built British car then?
