E36 rear axle / cv deceleration 'click'
euroriffic replied to Michael.'s topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
It's not the backlash in the diff is it? M3 does that all the time. -
Tyler, pldubs has a locker and gets a good deal for shipping
-
You mean like this one? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CIQpE6JWmpw
-
Will for easy as. But maybe not with those ballon tyres
-
I have one, by in Dunedin. Cost me $20 I think from twl
-
Haha cheers bro! Pretty sure one of the guys here started the series up north. was a pretty big thread on it but good to see it's hit the mainland, hopefully you get a few enteries for smash and bash fun haha
-
Hahahaha yea that sounds like most winners on dirty south car club. My fav is "goes hard, never thrashed"
-
The thought is tempting. If Brent didn't want a million dollars for that ruff as m3 and if I didn't buy the e46 or sold the ute it would of been perfect
-
Ours looks like this and is an 01
-
Some insurance have tyres covered for such issues as this and if people slash them... Could be worth looking into
-
No imagination? And will probably plastidip them for fun too
-
I thought you just put the key in, turn to on then off, open door three times, open boot, do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight, hold unlock button and it works? Or something like that. Failing that, the stealer or mclouds. The e46 went there to get the rape locks and bits all turned off
-
That is true, but then they're the same as most others out there. Thinking maybe a darker grey/charcoal colour if I went that way. Maybe I should just buy a few different colours of cheap spray cans and see what looks best before I go for the final product? Good project for Easter weekend:)
-
Got my new polish thanks to Jasjot for recommending it. Hopefully make things nice and shiney
-
Still not sure what to put them on. Missus said why not put them on her car. I laughed
-
Arrived today! Hopefully get a chance to do the m3s current style5s this weekend for some better protection.

E46 steptronic slipping? And now dropped a cylinder
euroriffic replied to euroriffic's topic in Maintenance
Haha she does like giving it abit since it's got the Schnitzer/Remus exhaust on it so sounds pretty good! Are you're right blue, not too much wrong down here. And a 2jzgte would be a sweet swap Michael! Be better in my ute tho haha! There is a guy selling an e46 with a Lexus in it tho... -
I quite like the white on white, and atleast it's not all white with the polished lip and centre caps. Or something like this Lucan/ Gaz I quite like this colour but don't know how well it'll work

E46 steptronic slipping? And now dropped a cylinder
euroriffic replied to euroriffic's topic in Maintenance
So turns out it was just cyl.6 coil had died and was causing the gearbox issues. Had to rob a coil off the M3. Was waiting to here back for my garage so could get it scanned just t check for gearbox faults but they never did so just sorted it myself. Will still get box checked tho -
What brand did you get? And can you use the shock to compress the spring, making it lower and harder ?
-
Gave them a mock up tonight. Was maybe thinking white for centres? Not sure yet
-
Got a new coil to replace the one I took out the M3 to make the e46 run right again. Turns out it was f**ked too so will try again tomorrow, sigh

E36: Full suspension refresh - thoughts
euroriffic replied to Michael.'s topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Yea parts only, labour would cost a fair bit as you have to drop the whole subframe, disassemble/reassemble and abit of time pressing in/out bushes. Be maybe a 15-20hr job??
