Steel kitsets are fairly reasonably priced and you can even find good ones secondhand. Timber breathes better - I've had condensation issues in metal garages (think what it'll be like on a sunny day) but that was years ago. Could be different now, especially if it has good ventilation.

Hamilton is doing what he must in order to keep his chances alive. (Let's gloss over the multiple 'technical issues' he's had during the season.) Rosberg is doing the bare minimum. Just enough to keep himself in front of Hamilton in the leadership points. Verstappen was imho the star in Brazil. Around the outside of Rosberg in that much rain. Wow. He's got form for doing that to Rosberg of course - he pulled a similar manoeuvre at Beckets during the British GP in July, also in less than ideal conditions.

I have an unpainted one here that's never been fitted. Cost me $200, shipped from the US. I have a pic somewhere, but it is for a 4-cylinder E30. Is that likely to fit?

I'd be using a single mount from block to chassis/frame/body, rather than a mount, and a piece of plate. It may require something to be fabricated, but the strength and construction are then easy to prove. Is there any precedence for a two-piece engine mount? That's most likely the guideline.

I'm a bit old school and stick with stuff pre-1990. You youngsters will be fine with the E46s.

I think the drivers door airbag on our 320d was replaced. To be honest - I couldn't remember for sure, so kept quiet rather than contradict anyone!

I have both. Seats and bonnet... Need to check the condition of the seats. Have two bonnets - one black, one white. Both very good condition.

Saw a good 325i manual vert for sale recently - $8k. Even allowing for remedial work, that's probably a good price. $25k? Same category as so many of the $10k+ 4-door and coupes. There are some really good examples out there, but there is some real rubbish masquerading as 'an investment', too.

The 'cooking' 318i manual seems to be only a couple $k cheaper for anything actually worth having.

Or not. AC Schnitzer, that is. It does have an ACS exhaust (tailpipe, at least) but not much else that's obvious. Engine is the M44, so looks to be a 1996 E36 318iS 5-speed manual coupe with an ACS (part?) exhaust. Quite nice. Good colour (if you like purple). With or without driver... Although I anticipate 'with' might be preferred by anyone who can help. Some friends are getting married in 2 weeks, and have already arranged an M5. They'd like another M5, or a similarly nice (and powerful) car for the trip from Auckland to Matakana. They're happy to pay.
