Here we go again with cops and their conclusions
zero replied to kwhelan's topic in General Discussion
Well, I could put up the data that goes through the facts in detail, but last time I put up the speeding data in the speeding thread I got attacked for it. -
I stand corrected.
-
My advice would be to use the same brand and series of speakers in the back as in the front. A different size is fine, but its important to keep the sound signature the same.
-
Old thread revival. So, what proved to be best OP?
-
I reckon the wheels must be worth $1K on their own, not even including the tyres, so I say go for it.
-
Did you cry? Its like taking the faithful lame horse out behind the shed and shooting it.
-
1.9 litre. The extra 100cc's makes all the difference.
-
How do you know its the aircon doing it?
-
Damaged maf will not cause transmission faults. Taking it to glenn will save you alot of money.
-
Voltage measurement will be different depending on if the motor is running or not, and how long since the motor was last run.
-
You have probably damaged the maf - you should ONLY use maf cleaner, and no physical contact from rags or paper towel. Before you change it though, take it to glenn to get the codes read and diagnosed correctly, otherwise you are throwing money at guesses. Always use 98 - Gull has it, so does some BPs, Mobils etc.
-
Glenn is right, but as a sidenote, what did you clean the maf with, and did you physically touch the maf with anything? Also, have you been driving the car on 91 unleaded? Our cars should be run on 98 only.
-
Put a price up or I'll tell the mods
-
What year is your car, because the bonnets on the facelifts e46's are different from those on the pre-facelifts? I have a pre-facelift bonnet for you in the correct colour,
-
Really well spec'ed and maintained by the look of things. But that colour ruins everything. :puke:

Thanks Matt - had a look at their site. They seem to only stock the left hand drive version; https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-windshield-wiper-cowl-e46-51718208483 Did you have to make a special order for the right hand drive version? (51718189100)

Hey Ian, its the price from forum sponsor euroitalian. Im sure the dealership would be twice that. And yea just for the part. Installation is really easy; http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1334705-DIY-Replacing-the-windshield-cowl Sorry for the hijack OP

I have this problem on both my e46's but its $219.94 each one. Looks like I will have to go to a wreckers yard.
-
From the pics it is clearly her fault. Don't let it ruin your day.
-
I have a pair of near mint front seats from an e46. No rips, tears or damage - they both are in excellent condition and look better than the rubbish photo. Unfortunately they are taking up valuable space so I need them gone. Will take $50 for the pair or trade for something interesting. I also have a wheel and tyre that is free to a good home. The wheel pcd is 4 x 100, and the tyre is a 205/50/15 'roadstone' (made by nexen) N2000 with plenty of tread. It was too good to throw away.

Agree, and it sounds like the lady chose a dumb place to do a u turn. She should have driven further away from the intersection before doing a u turn.
-
I think alot of posters here have misunderstood my point, and maybe that's because I didn't communicate it clearly enough. My point is, if people don't want to pay fines, don't break the law. Simple. And if you CHOOSE to break the law, don't blame others. I've been busted for speeding before, but the only one to blame is myself.
-
Rofl. So you will obstruct police investigations because you dont like them? Lets hope you never need the police for anything. To be clear, I don't 'love' the 4 km over limit - I just don't blame someone else if I get caught breaking the law.
-
Well that escalated quickly. Dictionary.com says "the act or practice of exceeding the speed limit" As for the stats, if you bothered to look at them you would see they are broken down into different speeds over the limit.
