Thanks Brent. It got a new oil cooler a couple of years ago, and I don't think that is where the leak is coming from. But I appreciate your generous offer.

I have a reconditioned head to swap over anyway as the valve stem seals were shot on my one. This just brings this swap forward. I'm just hoping its the head gasket and not something else.

Yea the always on feature is pretty cool. You can configure it to display what you want. I set mine to just have the time and text message alert.

So, another update and I'm 99% sure I have engine oil leaking into the cooling system. I'm 99% sure that its not trans oil, so this is a new problem from when the car initially overheated. I've been washing out the radiator every day and by the next day it has milkshake in the expansion tank. There looks like a bit of milkshake on the dipstick and the car is using oil. The only two places I could think of oil and water mixing is a damaged head gasket, or a damaged engine oil cooler. I took the oil filter out as its housing is connected to the oil cooler, and the oil in the housing is clean so I don't think that is it. Is there any other area on the engine where the oil and water could be mixing apart from the head gasket?

I have the s7 and its awesome. Its edges are very slightly curved so it sits better in the hand than the s6. The s7 edge is easier to drop because the sides are so curved. Both are streets ahead of the s6 and s6 edge. Battery life and camera are outstanding - a huge jump up from my old s4.

It looks like it already has rake going by the photo, or is that just a bad angle?

They need to let the tarseal completely dry, otherwise people would get tar on their cars and they would have to fork out to get them all clean. Its probably also a safety thing.

Leak down test? Run compressed air into the cylinder and listen for the sound of air coming out the oil cap?
-
Personally I like it how you have it now. Did you get your 8.5s on all corners?
-
Great build. Is the diff the larger case 210mm one?

Can you take a pic of the manifold with the hole in it?
-
My advice would be to buy something aftermarket as it will be cheaper and sound a hell of a lot better. The e46 speakers are poos.

Can you detail what you did to the motor when you rebuilt it? Is it stock m3 cams etc?

Info at the bottom of this link; http://mywikimotors.com/m52b25/ If you want serious power it ain't cheap though.

Why 5 to 6 weeks? How much stuff are you going to do to her that needs that much time?
-
I think 245 is optimal, but a 255 will fit (I have 8.5" wide wheels with both). I don't know what the widest you could squeeze on would be, but your handling will be pants.

Anyone got a leakdown tester I can hire/borrow?
