    1988 BMW 535i

Regrettably up for sale is my e28 535i. After lusting after one of these for years I finally bought one 2 years ago and I have enjoyed it thoroughly ever since. Alas, with a divorce looming over my head and lawyer's fees to pay, I have, with a heavy heart, decided to list her up for sale. In my ownership I have replaced the factory suspension with Spax Springs and Bilstein shocks in the rear ( I also have a pair of b8 Bilsteins for the front that have been rebuilt but not fitted). I have serviced the transmission less than 1000kms ago. I have also in my possession a complete e28 Motorsport Kit that I intend to offer to the winning bidder with the sale of the vehicle. It is unpainted and on another vehicle but will be pulled out before the auction ends. *Freshly serviced *Transmission Serviced *Speedo cluster replaced with lower mileage one as old one wasn't working (Was showing 327ks) *LSD Diff *Bilstein Shocks *Spax Springs *Genuine 2 Piece BBS Style 19 wheels with 225/45/17 inch tyres all round * Stock Springs available *E28 Motorsport Kit included in sale price (unpainted, shown on donor car, will need chrome bumpers back as part of sale) *3.5 Litre m30b35 engine *Automatic Transmission with switchable manual mode *Tilt/slide sunroof *All electrics work *No Rust that I know of *Thermostat and Waterpump Replaced *Mtech 1 steering wheel and Mtech flares Has the odd dent and scratch and clear coat is peeling in places, the bootlid definitely could do with a respray as it seems as it has been badly resprayed before my ownership and cracked. All electrics work except the aerial. The Boot springs don't hold the bootlid up This is all I can think of at present. I will only be running a week long auction as I intend to sell before Christmas. Thank You for looking. Test drives Welcome, Will be sold with new WOF and 6 Months rego (Rego on hold currently) Contact me on the number listed below PLEASE NOTE : PERSONALIZED PLATE IS NOT FOR SALE WITH VEHICLE UNLESS NEGOTIATED SEPARATELY After 18k ono. Advertised on Trademe but have the right to remove the auction Not sure why my previous post was deleted Contact me on 02102916373 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3383319384?bof=4tP8dwtu trademe link for those who want to go the bidding route
  2. It's definitely a hard one to list. I searched a good 7 years for a 535i. It was either this or my e30 and I'll choose my e30 over anything.
  3. As stated. Here she is https://www.trademe.co.nz/3383319384
  4. worth a braai and a bottle of klippies. lekker lekker
  5. Looks like I will be selling mine now too, 535i and will come with the Motorsport kit seperate, as well as manual conversion parts less gearbox and drive shaft. PM me if interested. Divorces are hard
  6. Bump, What do you guys reckon I should sell her for? She's got to go. I was planning to panel and paint it and put the motorsport kit I have on and manual convert it but I've unfortunately run out of funds and I am currently going through a divorce and need money for lawyer's fees. Shoot me some offers or suggestions. Will come on the BBS 17 inch wheels above. I've sold the AC Schnitzers too. will also come with the motorsport kit and most of the manual conversion less the gearbox and driveshaft , also have full bilstein B8 shocks all round
  7. Just spoke to my cert guy and his words were "If you can't see it in a wof then you don't need to cert it " hahahahhaha wow. So much for clarification! But he did explain that if there's any cutting of the subframe involved then they wouldn't even cert it but because we're basically just welding a bracket on each side of the existing bracket and dremmeling the existing hole and putting in an eccentric bolt then no cert would be required,. His Words
  8. as far as I'm aware, no cert is required but I shall double check with LVV today bro
  9. oh yeah this too Sammo! I've got those kits for toe and camber correction! they're handy
  10. This sounds like fun! just let me know when dude Make sure the car is sitting overnight when doing valve adjustment. Has to be ice cold
  11. You will love the rewards you reap from driving it and somehow the financial side won't matter that much
  12. Sammo I think I just made an accident in my nether regions haha this thing is beautiful! Not much to do to get it up to good condition. The maintenance items are all very doable and very affordable I do recommend changing your rear trailing arm bushings and diff bushings also, also the front control arm replacements are cheap and well worth the money in terms of how much of an improvement they make having new balljoints and new front rear control arm bushings to boot! these are all things that will make it handle a lot better. With regards to the shocks and springs, the b8 kit coupled with Eibach springs are always a winner! Let me know if you need anything done dude, always happy to help! Also I would replace all your fuel lines whilst you're at it, the rubber would be brittle as at that age if it hasn't been done!
  13. Has a nice cam, and a set of headers! Really liven's it up!
