May take longer than 30 seconds. Other thing that can make them sound as if they are locking up is a faulty crankshaft position sensor. They don't always throw a code. Disconnect the plug under manifold and pull back rubber boot and check to see if the insulation on the wiring has disintegrated. If so replace and repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Use a Multi-Meter and check at the plug (Ohm's test). There is two wires that are noticeably larger than the others. One is a positive feed..the other is the earth. *May pay to probe the plug with a sewing pin...not the Multimeter probe as it may damage the female terminal int hte plug*

I tried to pull needles of an E36 some years ago to fit a white dial kit. Buggered it, Had to get a new cluster and had a sh*t time finding one with similar KM's.

+1 on the Bridgestone RE's I have always run RE050a's RFT on the BMW's, Even my old E39 has RFT. Have RE002's on the Porsche but can't really justify the extra on a road going daily driver. It came with Conti Sport Contact 3's but they were soooooo noisy. Very sticky in any condition.

Great in major citys, Like AKL and WTN, Totally illegal but its like this... Cop beams you, System alerts you...slow down....flick them off. cop goes for a second round...reads your speed and he is none the wiser. I had these on my last Porsche..Saved my ass on numerous occasions on the Motorway and a couple on the Napier-Taupo RD. Well worth it if you like to hum along.. If you get questioned about them just tell em those little black boxes came with the car and you don't know a thing about them xD
