  1. Very nice car! The e39 540s are taking my interest more and more..
  2. Yes, timing has been set correctly now.
  3. Cheers mate, I'll take a look when I have time.
  4. I've had the exhaust side out but the intake is a pita to get to.. I'll have a look and see!
  5. Hi everyone, Unfortunately the time has come to sell my M3. I'd love to keep it but due to financial circumstances I've put it up for sale. -S50B32 321hp motor -Rebuilt Beisan Systems vanos (rattle kit + seals) -New valve cover gasket -Eibach coilovers and sway bars (certed) - BBS style 5 17x8 et20 wheels -2 x brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE003 tyres -New WOF -137xxx Miles not KMS (UK import) -Heated leather seats -6 speed manual transmission -Illuminated gear knob -Strut brace -LTW spoiler (original spoiler will come with the car) -New Sachs slave cylinder. Could go on and on with maintenance etc. Can provide receipts and a more comprehensive list of work for potential buyers. -The car currently has an issue where it does not rev up properly and perform as it should. I've been led to believe this is due to an O2 or Camshaft position sensor however I can't confirm this. - There's a half ping-pong ball sized dent in the rear below the right taillight (will add photos) as well as some minor rust in the front and rear guards. It's not a wof issue or anything however its worth mentioning and should be attended to in order to prevent it spreading. The car has just been sent in to a workshop to resolve the revving issue and also to get a new slave cylinder installed. The price listed is an AIWI price and I'm happy to negotiate with serious offers around my asking price. Price will go up once these are fixed. Overall there are a few things to be done but as you'll all know these are becoming increasingly difficult to get your hands on- Don't miss out! $14,000 ONO for bimmersport members.
  6. Issue has not been solved yet. I took the plenum off and checked the vacuum lines and replaced a few which has made it run smoother but it's not 100%. I also managed to leave off a ground cable to the 6th coil which has been reconnected now. Overall it runs fine until you try give it heaps of gas at once. Yes, I had it up for sale for a brief moment because I thought I had fixed the issue. It will most likely be on the market in a few months.
  7. Hey Mark, keen on the heat shield for airbox as well as flywheel and PP. have Pmd you
  8. Wanting to buy an S50B32 exhaust cam. My number is 021 047 8447.
  9. Nope I haven't.. Gregory Hook? It seems to be unrelated to the lumpy idle I had before I did the vanos. I think the lumpy idle was because one of my exhaust solenoids had a broken connection. The car now bogs and becomes a sack of crap if you try give it a punch of throttle. I got it scanned at Daves place (once again, you're a legend mate!) and it came up with a cam angle sensor. Might replace that tomorrow and see if there's a difference. The vanos test said that my exhaust cam was 30 degrees out... not sure how that's possible because the car still runs ok besides the odd bogging issue and P&S auto set my timing for me manually and they know their stuff.
  10. Awesome mate, I'll bring the alignment tool with me
  11. I recently got a scan at eurosurgeon and they came back with the air temp sensor and some old SMG issues but apart from that I don't think anything else.. might have to get another scan..
  12. Hello everyone, I recently took the plunge and did the Beisan procedure for my vanos on my M3 Evo (rattle kit and seals). Just a bit of background info, before I started the vanos, it already had a lumpy idle and was gutless as anything. I replaced a faulty air temp sensor in the plenum and the MAF, coils and plugs all checked out. I figured it would be the vanos solenoids and the issue seems to have gone away but now I have a new one (typical). So whilst I was trying to set the timing I could not for the life of me understart the Beisan systems procedure because it didn't correspond with what I was seeing on my own motor... to cut a long story a little bit shorter, I actually have two intake cams as a performance mod which required an experienced mechanic to point out. The car ran mint after it was first started with the adjusted timing but after warming up it is now sort of bogging and has become unresponsive. Would this be likely to be related to my cam arrangement or another possible issue? Also, what's the likelihood of having two intake cams doing more hard than good? Pretty lost at this stage so any advice would be appreciated.
  13. Hi Mark, The gearbox mounts will fit a G220 right? If so I'll take them. Cheers
  14. I think I've already spoken to you about your M3 sedan. Not overly keen on a sedan and its out of my price range. Thanks
  15. Hi guys, just want to know if there are any E36 M3s around for sale. I recently sold one that was a little tired and I need to replace it! I dont mind if its a 3.0 or a 3.2. Thanks
