  1. And to think I had one very very similar to this.. oh how I miss that car
  2. Another little job complete! I decided to fit my new Powerflex offset lower control arm bushes on Friday. My method was somewhat unconventional.. I cut the two rubber flanges that connect the inside of the bushing to the steel outer casing. I then made a cut though the casing with a hack-saw and whacked it out with a chisel. My mate and I sure did butcher the old bushes but nevertheless, the outcome was clean and tidy I can DEFINITELY feel that the steering is a bit stiffer and not as soft as it was before. Photos below:
  3. I've had these bits sitting around so they will be some of the first parts to be fitted: -Powerflex offset M3 3.0 lower control arm bushes -Nolathane rear trailing arm bushes -X-brace
  4. First update: When I bought the car it had the typical rocker cover leak onto the exhaust manifold . At first I attempted to clean up the original rocker cover (which was pretty dirty..) and refit but since I bought a rocker cover gasket for a face-lift M52, I figured I may as well upgrade to the plastic face-lift rocker cover and have now fitted it. Huge improvement over the old piece of rubbish! Thanks Brent @BM WORLD. NOTE: Check your torque wrench and make sure it clicks! I borrowed a friends and I was tightening the 10mm rocker cover bolts more and more until I realised something was wrong.. The thing was broken and wouldn't click at all. Lucky I didn't strip the thread.
  5. Hey guys, welcome to my new E36 project. I haven't ever created a project log as I've never really had a car for long enough.. This car is a 1995 Pre-facelift 328i E36 factory manual NZ new coupe. She has done 260,000kms but has a fair bit of service history and has been well looked after so I'm confident that it's a good starting point. My plan for it initially is to service, modify and refine it. I won't be doing anything too drastic as it is my daily driver at this stage. The plan after that is to start stripping it out and making it a road/track car i.e half cage, semi-slicks, LSD, 330 brakes etc etc etc. The idea in a nutshell is to have a car which I can drive on the street and have it still be relatively functional but also use on the track on the odd weekend and be able to drive it home- no trailer. That's all for now, keep your eyes peeled for updates. Although this is E36 #15 for me, I should be keeping it a while this time.. Time to commit! *Oh! And it has NOS by the way.. more on that later My to-do list with prices is as follows. Some of these mods will be fairly long term goals and may not happen. I don't see many prices put against parts for other build threads so hopefully this will be useful for people looking to do something similar to this. 6. Bare in mind it had an S50B32 with rebuilt vanos etc put into it which would have added value.
  7. The reason I put 420 at the crank is because it was making slightly more than both healthy e92 M3s on the dyno day and they’re supposed to be 420hp at the flywheel. So I’m not sure how that all works but take it as you will
  8. Bump. If any BS members are interested in buying then contact me. I’m getting married in 2 weeks so if I’m to sell this car it’s now or never!
  9. There's something about this car's colour combo that is REALLY desirable
  10. Hello, yes, it is mine indeed. Thanks for the comments guys. I am selling primarily because I am getting married and have things to pay for. I love the car but sadly it has to go! In my ownership I've rerouted the oil feed and water feed to the turbo (they used to run over the top), replaced the fuel filter and put original DS1s with semi slicks on them. I haven't done much but with that said I haven't had it long either. I hope a BS member decides to take it away! (Be in quick.. I'm considering a lower offer..)
  11. Couldn't have said it better. I'm not sure why you'd pay that much money for a car that is so close to brilliance but misses the mark by being floppy and heavier. If it was a hardtop and 5k cheaper I think it would have been snatched up already.
  12. Hi guys, This is not really a for sale post but rather an expression of interest to trade for a tidy M3 3.2 evo in estoril, techno-violet or cosmo schwartz. The car runs fantastically and has great power but I'm a purist at heart and if I don't trade for an evo I'll likely take the turbo kit off to sell. Basic details on the car: -NZ new 1994 3.0 M3 in cosmo schwartz -Has been running with a turbo for over 8 years so I'm told - 400whp -Very tidy with only 139,000 kms. No mods besides turbo, clutch and suspension. If you have an evo and you're after more power.. get in touch and we can talk more
  13. Hey Jarrod, my mate has the perfect car for you. Give him a call on 021 026 85318 (Nathan)
  14. Funny you say that as I currently have one haha. Bought an e60 though
  15. It's a far cry from what it was back then! I sunk 3k into it after buying it. Did heaps to it. Chris has done a great job at cleaning it up even more!
  16. Not sure if you're interested but I have 6 spare
  17. Yeah I understand where you guys are coming from. Maybe I will have to hold out for a proper diagnosis before selling. cheers
  18. Simply put, if you increase revs slowly there's no issue. If you punch it, it won't respond well. video-1486968148.mp4
  19. No the revving issue hasn't been sorted, hence the price. I'd be asking more if that were the case. I'll upload a video of what its doing if I can. It seems to be overfueling as gas consumption is around 14l/100km and if you give it a lot of gas at idle it will bark and splutter, however, once its above ~1300rpm it revs alright. CPS? O2 sensor? I don't know, but I'm in need of a working car and money is needed elsewhere.. wouldn't be selling otherwise.
  20. Bump. Make me a reasonable offer. I simply don't have time to take the car in and I need something to drive
