Bump

I've got a couple E30 items for sale. First a pair of coupe front seats. Bought them for my car but unfortunately they are ever so slightly blue and therefore won't match my rears Hoping to sell them for what I got them for $100, they are in really good nick. Was gonna use them but now that I'm selling my car it's a waste to put them on for some standard punter. Cost $195ish from Ultra Racing but I'll let them go for $170.

What would you like to know?

Goods: Working AC Disc brakes all round Alarm fitted Otherwise in pretty good nicks No rust anywhere Newer stereo put in with iPod connection Odometer replaced and functions Just got a warrant Has near new tyres Bads: Leaks a little bit of oil Paints has some scratches as you'd expect Aerial doesn't go down Fuel gauge doesn't work properly (until I fix it) Done about 180kms (can check exact figure). Well current engine is getting checked out tomorrow so we'll see how that goes, if it needs work then the swap might be a go.

There is definitely two sides to every story. There's always going to be some bad stories for all of them. As to that compensation thing, no automotive insurances provide cover for consequential costs (whether to the insured or in the form of liability). Meaning the truck's insurance company wouldn't have paid out, so you would have had to chase the driver independently and it is highly likely to have provided any beneficial result after many months of wrangling, so they just saved you time and effort.

Sorted my half broken cluster now so won't require this one. Still keen on seat pictures though!

Hi Ray I emailed you about a bonnet strut for my E30 but no reply? I'm quite keen to get one as soon as possible.

I have already gone to Colourworks and got some. It looks pretty close to me! To be fair it was fro a few tiny little spots, it's not like a big patch or anything. It's much closer than generic stuff from Repco that I have used before! (Not on my E30 off course, on previous beaters I've had). Thanks though, interesting to see all those colour codes! When will companies think about owners 22 years down the line like me

Getting a bit off topic there! It's all good people. It's delphin metallic I'm afraid so I can't make use of that comos. I'll give Colourworks a visit since they are literally just down the road from me.

And to reply to the series comment, indeed that was the original plan. However I am weighing up my options. Went round Hampton last week and I am a bit concerned the the m20 is going to be heart rendingly slow.

Does BMW NZ or anyone else sell the appropriate BMW coloured touch-up paint?

Hey I asked a question about this on Trademe, how many kms has it done?

Is this a relatively straight forward swap? You know as far as engine swaps go, no firewall cutting or anything? Alternatively what is the best BMW engine to fit in there with ease and give a decent power increase?

In my dream world the drive shaft would be for the ZF manual. What have people got?

If my manual conversion goes ahead I'll have an auto box available in about a months time.

I swapped the chip over and that has fixed the tacho, easiest fix ever! Thanks heaps for that tip. I found that even though I knew it was high it made me very uncomfortable seeing the tacho on the motorway, I feel much better now. Soon I'll have to swap the fuel gauge, but that's much more livable.

That is pretty much what I am going to have to do, as ti turns out the old unit was cannibalised to help the new unit. I'm going to have to frankenstein the two of them.
