Was a bargain at $1400, not quite as good now. I notice he has opted not to mention any of the bad points, I wonder if they have all been fixed now?
-
That make any difference?
-
Awesome, thanks for that. Talked a friend into buying an E46 instead of a Merc. They are such good value these days.

Can someone check NG41407 for me? I couldn't seem to be able to sign up to that site.

A 3200GT for $20k? How many kms had it done?

Yeah, this looks good! Liking it.

What size are the tyres?

Any recommendations for a mobile auto sparky?

I've used Alert Auto Elec before and they were pretty good. -
Engine bay wise is the E36 one much bigger (for easier engine conversions)?
-
I like that comment, well done!

Relatively stock at first anyway with a few bits and pieces. The fact that I can always chuck a more modern engine in an E30 does appeal to me. What's the rear suspension like in the E30 with lots of power though?

So I am looking for a cheap RWD track car and considering E30's and E36's. They are pretty much the same price these days so it makes it a decision of choice. I have had an auto E30 320i and a manual 328i. Now obviously the 328i had more power and the manual, but it certainly feels bigger and heavier and seems like it has more stuff to go wrong (or strip out depending on how you look at it). I really like the old school style of E30s, but E36s seem to be the weapon of choice for people to take round the 'Ring and a bit of a go. What do people think? Any other suggestions for cheap RWD track day cars will be received also, I've had an MX5 which I did quite like, but having to put a roll bar on is a bit of a nuisance, and the cabin was a bit small for me.

The arches are different heights though, like a facelift?

Is this not F/L being an 88?

Would this manual conversion fit a post facelift 320i?

We have just brought back in to NZ a personal car that we had shipped from NZ to the UK about 10 years ago. They have noted basically all the rust they spotted, no matter how light and we are having to fix it all up. We need to get an engineer (of a set list of people they have) to identify all rust, then a panel beater to fix it, then the engineer comes back and checks it all off. This includes really minor rust spots on the surface of not structural sheet metal. So they are being pretty darn tough. I would recommend getting any and all rust you can see tidied up before you try complying it here, it will make life much easier. If they don't spot any then you skip the whole process.

Bump (the price has been lowered). Any feedback on this would be good, price seems good enough to me?

That's the one! It's definitely had a bit of work done. Haven't had a chance to fully over it all yet though

At Greenwoods corner? If so that would have been me, I was just popping into the bank there. Interesting to know some back history about the show and shine's it will definitely be out and about here in Auckland and not stored away.
