That is an impressive looking cage! I want this car.
-
I was thinking Jensen-Healey and it certainly looks a lot like it but they don't have those vents on the side. Is it a modified one or something?
-
It's percentage not overall, I know this. If they used outright numbers it would be just as flawed, then if they didn't insure Subaru's for some reason they would say no Subaru's were stolen and they'd fall of the list. It's always tricky when the information source only has their part of the picture. And it doesn't help them that the insurance company are actually only minority owned by the actual AA anyway, not that the AA know much about cars themselves.

It's good to see at least some people are onto this rather than just take it as gospel. What the idiots at all the papers who re-print press releases like they are actual news fail to mention is how it all works. AA Insurance simply take a percentage of the car models they have had stolen out of the overall figure they have and do a little touching up of the outliers. So if they had one Jensen Interceptor insured and it was stolen it would be 100%, making it by far NZ's most stolen vehicle! Now they do eliminate ones like that but you still get the same flawed methodology. Cars like Torneo's are high up the list because there are less of them insured as Torneo's than there are the exact same car down as a Accord. So if you have 100 of the same car in all respects but 10 of them use the JDM badge of Torneo and 90 are Accords, and then 4 of each badge are stolen, well then 40% of Torneo's are stolen vs much less Accords. It's a bit of an oversimplification but really it all shows statistics can show anything, yet yearly they get their name printed in all the papers right next to a reason why even you plain jane car should have insurance, it's a pretty good system for them!

Saw the answer to this in the other thread, shame that even with a warranty they cover less than 50%!

Looks like a pretty awesome trip, filled with the joy of old French cars
-
Wow! I'm sure that thing does turn heads, in disgust!
-
Alternatively if you just want a nice running engine then you may be best buying a second hand one then selling your one to someone who does want to do a high horse power rebuild. I imagine that looks like what your are thinking of.
-
So does this car have a full service history?
-
Indeed
-
Never a 320i coupe
-
Tough job then!
-
So are you guys on Rennlist too? Too many people with different names across different forums (like me ).
-
Saw a grey E30 sedan heading along Market Road with a Bimmersport sticker on the rear bootlid.
-
Still looking!
-
Good stuff, just thought I'd mention I would struggle to do this greatly myself so you're definitely above me in the home mechanic stakes.
-
*Edit* By virtue of me being on pretty much every forum there is in NZ I've now figured out what car this is, will ask for pics on a more pertinent forum!

Still hunting for an E36 320i coupe.

I think what is most ridiculous is that this applies to overtaking too. How are you meant to overtake someone doing 95 when you can only go 9kph faster for our tiny overtaking lanes. Open road driving in NZ sucks enough already, this is just going to make it worse. It's sad that in many countries they are increasing speed limits and seeing results whereas here we are decreasing them and then claiming results that aren't even statistically backed up.

Welcome, if you find that you prefer driving the 325i for some crazy reason I'll take that pesky CS off your hands for you.

Console: PS3 Tag: Neckarsulm Games: GTA V and GT5 Like others, I only get to play about once a week these days. Just tried out GTA V online for the first time yesterday, just seems to be a lot of tools with higher level unlocked guns driving around killing you.
-
Not concerned about fuel in the slightest! It is because the race series only allows engines up to 2L, otherwise it would be a 328i all day.
-
I have considered 318is's since they seem to be more common, but I think I will need the extra power and I really do like the 6 cyl engines. Do you know what the weight difference is?
-
Hi folks, looking for an E30 320i or E36 320i. Must be a 320 and must be a coupe. Don't mind auto or manual, however if it is an auto then it must be $2k or very close. Would prefer it to be in Auckland.

Don't buy a pain 330! Haha. I don't see how that makes an financial sense for him to keep trying to sell it at that price for years. Very odd.
