Christchurch 2006 BMW 540i new owner
TermiPeteNZ replied to Chrisblob's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome Chris - silver E60 with Style 123s is a handsome vehicle If you have only one key recommend you pick up another and make your existing one a spare. Cost a few $$ but not as bad as some others ... They certainly make it a PITA to replace the battery!! ? -

Managed to sell it now John? Happy new owner I expect -
I did look at this as I don't have a 6 - just waiting for the right Motorsport E39 or E46 with leather to show up in Welly
-
Heh - my brother Tony does all the ads for Mitsi - including the neat Huntaway one. Despite (or because of) the value-focuse ads, Mitsubishi NZ outperforms relative to other markets.

Hi Andy, congrats on the new car and welcome to BimmerSport! Latest version of the E60 info doc attached So You Just Bought an E60 (V4.6).pdf

From the WTH? department ... full marks for accessorizing ?, but the effort seems a tad misguided. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=1676761985 '08 LCI E60 523i that someone has gone to a lot of effort to make it look like an M5 ... "This is a fantastic unit, Leather interior, alarm, Two way hard wired camera, Hard wired radar detector, Great condition, XL wide and long body. one of a kind. Never to be repeated mags. Quad exhaust. cruise control, Electric seats, electric steering wheel adjustment....totally loaded.... "

@Worksie in regards to your repair costs, did you get a MBI with your E60? That can make a huge difference to your ownership costs ... (but you can still spend plenty, just a lot less ) https://www.mtf.co.nz/mtf-products.html#mechanicalBreakdownInsurance Jono is the man to talk to: Jono White 027 224 4295 [email protected] Sorry to hear about the incident with the dog very bad luck for all involved.

F10 M5's. More imports that NZ new?
TermiPeteNZ replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in General Discussion
I've been tracking M5s on TradeMe (sad I know) but F10s only from Jan this year . . . 8 NZ new 5 UK import 1 ex-Aussie write-off (Black with white leather) 3 indeterminate (no reg/VIN) Least I've seen one go for was a NZ new 2012 with 97KMs with a $1 res auction - went for $45K....! Normal 'low' price is ~$60-$70k -
Hmmm yes interested as E28 m535i is top of my classic list - but i wasn't planning on commencing a project! Does it have all 4 of the BBS or is one missing.....? is there mould in the interior? Might give you a shout.

Nice vehicle Paul and welcome! I'm not into de-badging either … implies you haven't something to be embarrassed about

TermiPeteNZ replied to Drift Tax's topic in New Member Introductions
Hey Nick - lots of good advice from Kyu and I think you're approaching this the right way. I think people tend to fall into 3-series or 5-series 'types' and you'll have a preference one way or the other - especially after some test drives. PPI + Autosure = good plan. -
Sheesh! dramas eh …..
-
Yep - crazy number of vehicles stacked very deep. They just don't seem to be worried about turning over their stock - weird. Not unusual to see cars sit there for >12 months ....
