Awesome It's a beaut. -
Welcome and +1 on the colours - very nice!
-
Nope it's not a pyramid scheme - more of a neighbourhood Facebook for grown ups.

There is a fair range of prices . . . dealers charge a wack more of course. Someone after something like mine could pick up this: Momo aftermarket alloys and full leather interior too - with 50Kms less mileage - but it is tiptronic. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-1056545397.htm Also a bronze one 2 years newer but 16kms more and needs window fixing for <$3K http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-1052044211.htm%C2'>

Just thinking - another way of promoting BimmerSport and attracting members is to post something on Neighbourly. I just did this after the Welly coffee meet - but means I'm only covering Churton Park plus surrounding suburbs. Recommend you do the same... https://www.neighbourly.co.nz/message/view/6331363%C2'>

Brent A - see you are selling your awesome M535 on TradeMe - why are you parting ways? -
Clearly means I could have sold it for more - but all good!
-
Sold! That was much quicker than I thought. I'm too honest to say driven sparingly but yes it was garaged Obviously priced it right and presented it well...

Breaker - i thought you were selling cars at the moment, not *buying* them? -
Um. Good spotting! Slight oversights on my part

Good score I think these look great in silver with these particular alloys. -
Very tidy and GLWS.

It feels a little wrong to be selling a non-BMW on here, but anyway... after buying the E53 and the E60 I need some space to the Subby has to go. $3000 asking price. Seems like too little but seems to be the going price. It's listed on TradeMe of course... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/subaru/auction-1058614041.htm Has done 211kms but is in good condition. * 2 litre twin-turbo boxer engine producing 200KW (when new) * 5 spd manual transmission * full-time 4WD * Bilstein shocks * factory 17" alloy wheels * turbo timer * Uniden alarm * factory body kit * factory Momo steering wheel * twin sunroof * partial leather interior * includes cargo blind Serviced every 6 months at Driscoll Motors since purchased in July 2008. * Cambelt done at 205kms * 4 reasonably new Kumho Solus KH16 performance tires

Yes understand the M Sport appeal 14l/100kmh is what i get with a mix of conservative driving and giving it some welly - across suburban streets in hilly areas and some CBD and some motorway. Certainly less than the 17l average I get on my X5, which is big, has less power but sounds way better.

The blue is unusual and nice! I'm happy with my 2004 545i Highline - and glad I got the AutoSure wty (3 claims - oil seals on engine, water tank and iDrive computer died). The V8s are sensational. I would have liked a M Sport but I couldn't/didn't justify an extra $7-10k for what is primarily aesthetics. Check out this unit just listed down your way today: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1052084068.htm - low kms 550i M Sport in black in Chch And if you're a cheapskate like me there's a vehicle very similar to mine for sale in Welly: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1020321075.htm - 2005 545i with <100kms on it and about 20 months of Autosure Extreme wty left on it - for just $13,500. It's not a M Sport but it IS a lot of car for the $$. Also 2 x 550i M Sports with 110kms on them for $20k here in Welly too.

Being too thick is always a problem

The red one's a beaut but not a patch on (what was) yours Rowan

Looks like a nice set of wheels. +1 on Mech Breakdown Insurance - especially AutoSure (Vero). I got my E60 in October and have made 3 claims with the dealer covering one excess. Oil leaks, water tank split and iDrive (CCC) going kaput. WELL worth the investment and Autosure have been fantastic to deal with. Go for the Extreme warranty with up to $10k per fault and $350 excess. I've put an Autosure/MTF wty on the old E53 I just picked up through a private sale too. 4yrs of standard coverage for about $1600 - with $4k per fault cover and $450 excess. I think it is awesome that you buy this kind of cover on an old (2001) vehicle with 200kms on it - on a private sale. It makes a cheap vehicle less cheap, but less worrying too
-
I'll have to measure them but I think about 10-12. Their Platinum ones for $199 a set would be more that sort of thickness.

A warning about repaired alloys and cleaning ; dealer servicing

Up until this happened I was stoked. And I am *still* very happy to recommend Wheel Magician. Do you know who Jeff Gray use? Wheel Magician!! Agree with Andy that a harder finish would not be achievable with a mobile service like this. Sending wheels away would be a big pain! -
Although it doesn't look it the interior is grey.
