  1. It's literally just the plug that goes into the back of the factory head unit, couldn't be easier. All factory controls (steering wheel etc.) work like normal. However I think there are a couple of other wires that need splicing, can't remember what for. Ihad an absolute blonde moment and spliced into the wrong wire and that completely messed with the body control module. I had the dash not working, hazards coming on, sunroof not working etc. It was hilarious. Not!
  2. That's what my research showed. As well as a 19 inch version on the e46 m3, but it's hard to find info on if those are the same "style" or a different one. They are a great fit for an e36 and a good looking replica, with all the right logo indents in the right spots. Not wide enough for what I want.
  3. Style 67 wheels 17x7.5 Et38 The guy I bought these from says they are original equipment, but they aren't made by bbs so I'm not so sure. Very light curbing on a few of them and one centre cap is missing. SOLD
  4. Feel free to shoot me an offer for anything, I'm just spitballing with the prices
  5. I had an Avin, it failed in about a year, cost an absolute buttload and like Jacko said it's old hardware and OS. I then changed to an Eonon for about half the price and it had much better specs and newer Android. Operation was much faster then the Avin as well
  6. Just a heads up, did you check to see if those headers fit a right hand drive car? The only company I can remember from when I had my e46 m3 that did off the shelf headers was Super Sprint. Hope they're all good though
  7. Ive pulled the M50b25 from my 1991 325i and built myself an iron-block M52b28. Which means I have about a complete engines worth of parts left to get rid of. Parts from the M50 had 170000kms on them, M52 parts had 145000km. The M50 ran mint but i never saw the M52 running. M52 aluminium bare block- From an engine I hadn't seen running but the bores and everything look great, includes main cap bolts if you want $150 M50b25 Rotating Assembley- pulled out of a perfectly good running motor, crank journals are nice, rod and main bearings look ok. Includes crank, rods, pistons, main caps, bearings $200 E35 328i Harness- In very tidy condition, no cracking in any of the plastics or sheaths $200 I also have the complete M50b25 Non vanos head that I'll post photos of once ive cleaned it up. Includes new valve seals $250 I also have a whole assortment of accessories (timing covers, chains, alternator, M52 intake manifold, M50 viscous fan, rear main seal cover etc. etc.) so if there is something you are looking for ask away and I'll see what I've got. Prices are definitely negotiable, prefer pickup in Christchurch but may deliver if practicle. Thanks!!!
  8. Hard to see the manifold and turbo in the pics. I'm interested to see what it looks like. Not running air conditioning now though
  9. The torque spec is somewhere around 400nm. Couple that with age/corrosion and an impact gun that may not deliver the advertised minerals and it's not really surprising that it can't get it off
  10. How much for front calipers, carriers and rotors?
  11. I welded this one in mine https://www.ecstuning.com/b-turner-motorsport-parts/e36-z3-turner-motorsport-oil-pan-baffle-kit/ten3631b36
  12. How much for the steering rack?
  13. Oops. One look at the user name and I'd have known
  14. Nevermind. Timing was way off. The crank pin felt like it had "located" in the flywheel but it was just some other sort of indentation. I redid it and visually verified #1 at tdc. It's running and just a few vacuum leaks to chase down. Huzaaaah!!!
  15. Its what it's starting to look like. I'm confident I did it right but it's the first time I've ever done it so I better check. I'll rip the vavle cover off and slap the timing tools on
  16. I have fuel and spark now but I'm backfiring through the intake. I can't find any vacuum leaks and I've ran through the timing process on my head and I'm sure I did everything right. Anyone want to have a look?
  17. Hey gang So I'm in need of a little help here. I pulled the m50b25 from my 1991 325 sedan, and with an m52 I bought as well, I now have the iron block m50 2.8 stroker. M52 single vanos head with s52 cams too ? I've got everything back together, I'm using the original dme and wiring harness from the car; the starter motor turns the engine over but I can't get it to start. I've read through a gazillion threads in various forums, testing this and that, but I've just reached a point where I need some help. If there is someone in the Christchurch area who would be interested in coming and having a look in exchange for their favourite tipple, it would be very much appreciated. Shoot with any other advice and what not too. Cheers Shaun
  18. Why not install yourself? It's super easy. Your choice of course!?
  19. Chasing a set of wheels for track use, ideally 17x8.5, et35-ish. Will do wider but probably looking to run 245 wide tires. Also will do 18s if I can't find much else. For an e36 sedan. Located in Christchurch Thanks! Shaun
  20. Ive used both the Avin Avant 2 and the Eonon in my m3. The Eonon was roughly half the price and was waaaaay better then the Avin. Operating speed, touch sensitivity, user interface were all better. Integration is easy and plug and play, everything works first time. I highly recommend it
