  1. Yeah it is! what does dexron smell like? lol
  2. Yeah they are pretty average, if you ask me! I remember thinking of getting a Nike tick on my shoulder when i was about 17...thank F@#$ i didn't, i have a friend who got the Lion brown sticker on his shoulder when he was 16 it cost him $80 to get and last year had it laser removed 3 sessions at $500 a time lol
  3. No loss of oil, I changed filter and oil about 2 weeks ago and it is still as full as it was then!
  4. Cheers will try that, maybe some engine stop leak too???
  5. Just came back from a trip to Chch and was giving the car a clean and thought i'd check the water, the smell of oil came out and there is some oily residue...AWESOME!!!! I had no loss of power, high temperature or blue smoke on my way home and there does not appear to be the typical milky oil of a head gasket. Is this a common head gasket problem with Bimmers or could it be a cracked head?? Also how difficult is it to change the gasket? I have changed a few(non Bmw's) before and the 318i does look pretty straight forward! Cheers
  6. Most of the need for speed series are lame, designed for teenagers and i have not played one that i could not complete within a decent night. I prefer more realistic sim games, Forza 3 is definitly the best sim type game so far, i just hope Sony and Polyphony pull something out of the hat as playstation users have had nothing decent since GT3 A-spec
  7. The best way i have found dealing with a rogue boss or manager is to knock them out, short and sharp one on the jaw lol but seriously making a 'Formal complaint' is the way to go, make a copy and follow it up with a phone call,. My partner was getting picked on and hassled from her 2ic and manager for a few months, eventually i said to her to write a formal complaint, she did and both were reviewed and the hassle stopped...sure they probably don't like her but who cares, shes much less stressed now.
  8. Hey dude, welcome to Bimmersport! Plenty of on too it guys here who will help you in the performane and tuning side.
  9. My old man rented one of these...well 09 model, and drove it from Wellington to Dunners and raved like a lunatic about it, how cheap it was to run, how good a drive it was, blah blah blah and this from a Holden man, i have forwarded your TM auction to him as i know he will be very interested in this!
  10. I did the same thing in a rental car in Brisbane...I ended up having to pay from the time the parking garage opened till that point... 7am-1.30pm didn't sound too bad apart from it was $25 an hour to park...talk about an expensive photo pick up!!!
  11. But black comes up soooo pretty and silver is just as much a pain in the ass!!
  12. Hey guys, looking for the rubber that goes around the rear windscreen and also drivers door rubber(at the top) Have been hunting on TM but no luck, anyone have some or know of anywhere i can get some. chur

  14. I was thinking of doing something similar with the 6" Pioneer Kevlars i have...i also think i will def spend some $ on some decent fronts and tweeters.
  15. I have been looking online at sending some alloy wheels from Porirua-Dunedin but all the quotes seem to be coming back at between $150-175 I don't normally buy larger stuff but bought an auto trans last week that cost $70 from Auckland... Does this sound about right for rims?? Cheers
  16. Duke Nukem the first really awesome LAN game...man we used to thrash this at school in the lunch break.
  17. Ever since Bernie Ecclestone started messing with the rules trying to bridge the gap of Ferraris domination in the early to mid 00's the cars have gotten ugly, but they are def starting to look better. Hey does anyone know how much bandwidth a 3-5 hour race would use?...during the NFL season i was eating into mine like crazy.
  18. Cheers mate, I have never heard of them but will definitely book in for a service in the next few weeks.
  19. Sorry to jack a thread, but i have the same question...but for in Dunedin? looking for somewhere decent to get a good service...i know BMW/Cook Howlson will be through the teeth and there are plenty of good mechanic shops around but would prefer somewhere that specialises in Euros. Thanks guys

  22. Hey I'm sure they are 40 or 41 the guy had them on his lowered e46 and said when he had large rubber, (265-255 off the top of my head) he would occasionally get outside rub at speed and bumps. so i assumed that they would be ok for my e36. Please tell me i havn't screwed up lol!!
  23. Hi guys I have just bought some dished 18 x 9's and now need some rubber for them can anyone advise me of some decent brands and what sizes would be ideal. thanks
