  1. Yeah no worries! Will be a while away though, still need a donor car plus prepping and of course $$$
  2. Yeah i definitely want to find a mint shell. Maybe a coupe f/l version might be easier for me later on though i do like the look of the 4 doors.
  3. After seeing so many mint 30's and 28's on here i'm now thinking of getting something to plod around on, what i'm wondering is if one of these... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-287241490.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-286052073.htm Could be a good donor car for me too sink my s50. i'm wanting to spend no more than about 3k and even then the missus will be pissed about more "rubbish" at home lol Any suggestions?
  4. There was a link to cheap new TM ones a while back, do a little search for guard rollers!
  5. My Vodafone is in semi retirement since geting a work phone-which i can also use for personal use as long as i don't exceed $250 a month but before that i used to use bestmate and text 2000 so would only cost me about 20 slides a month anyway.
  6. +1 I learnt that the hard way and pretty much had to start again...I wet sanded between each coat to get each layer smoooooth as a babies bum before continuing. Like Westy mentioned, if you have ltd experience spraying practice on something before doing your car. Oh and dont rush the taping and remove bumpers etc to do a decent job.
  7. From what i have learnt painting my own cars is that lots n lots of wet sanding between coats gets the best finish for a diy paint job also keeping the temperature constant is a plus, i used to use a gas heater with thermostat that did a good job. I have also did one of those *$50* hand painted jobs off the net on my old Kingswood that came up awesome if you want to be adventurous
  8. That's an awesome site Ari!! Mods to sticky maybe would be a help for others in the future.
  9. I have the online manual at home in pdf form but am out of town for work till tomorrow. will post the wiring diagram then if you still need it. Why do you need it for? As i don't know if it will be much help, looks kind of basic as opposed to other car diagrams i have seen!
  10. Cheers Glenn, gives me an idea where and what to look for!
  11. well not quite new, but bought the missus a 92 318is coupe with a know trans issue...it has the, when cold and you stop slips into nuetral for a few seconds before engaging gear and what seems like the jatco jerk between 1st and second also when cold. I also noticed that when warm and the cooling system is under pressure there is a small water leak from around the auto transmission area. It's in good condition and we got it for a steal, i will prob eventually get around to a manual conversion but what i'm wondering is are there cooling hoses around there or does the bmw box use water too cool the trans...I have not put it up on stands and had a good look as we only got it last night and i'm now at work but gonna get under there tonight...any suggestions which may help me what to look for is appreciated.
  12. Check out these auctions. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-286036471.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-286684995.htm Don't know if they're what you are after but came across them a few days ago.
  13. I had a similar noise from my e36. After a bit of playing around and pulling some of the steering rack apart...but finding nothing, i put it back together this time greasing the joints...bingo no noise! Might be worth an hour or so under the car!
  14. Using Mainfreight from Auckland to Dunedin cost me $150 door to door for 17's that weighed 10kg each and i bought some 18's from Wellington depot to door that cost me $123-13kgs Just a little indication!

    Skype

Nope, video skyping!! I know my streaming can suck bandwidth but i normally watch 2-3 hours of sport online a week...and had not run out of bandwidth...until
  17. It all depends on what you want and your alloys etc, Danutt had some compressed springs with a drop of 50mm i think (check the for sales) i was going to buy them but my 18's would have caused too much guard work.
  18. Does look good bro! I just bought some of these for the e36. Tell me, how hard were they to wire? I was assuming just choc boxed up to the parking lights. cheers edit: Oh...and the inverters didn't cause any on board warning lights like some of thoses HID's can eh?

    Skype

Just noticed yesterday that we had used our 10 gig bandwith for the month, it's the first time we have done that and though this month i have streamed F1 and the NFL draft it still shouldn't have run out. My partner has had a couple of longish Skype sessions(1 hour+), so i'm wondering if anyone has an idea how much bandwith skype uses?
  20. Hey. i'd be pretty stoked to have had a list of cars like that...so, why not list them up? IMO there's not alot of difference in comparison to the car porn thread or other threads where owners like to show their cars off. my 0.2!
  21. here's a tm link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-286022482.htm
  22. Ive seen these on Trademe! I would not think they would be difficult to install yourself.
  23. You could risk it by finding someone who does not do strict wofs...trouble would be, your insurance would not see it that way if you are in an accident!
