  1. $6000 Due to a change in circumstances, loss of my mechanics help, lack of time and an unrequited love for my E81 130i(like an abusive stepfather lol) I'm selling my E87 4 door 130i. It owes me $6k so that's what I will put it up for. Showroom thread here It's a 2008 M-Sport w/ 214k kms on it. Specced with beige Leather Interior and Aluminium trim. Also has 18" M-Sport Alloys, seat warmers, electric seats, Idrive and auto climate control plus the previous owner put in a Parrot Bluetooth handsfree and 35% tints. Interior and Exterior are in excellent condition for their age. There is the odd scratch or mark on the exterior but after the detail it does present very well. Originally purchased as a parts car for my E81 130i it won me over by being too good to part out. It was a real estate agents car that did plenty of long distance kms in the Wairarapa, and was a company car for 80k kms before that. In my ownership I've done - New K/N Air Filter - New Cabin Air Filter - Leather clean and repair to front seats. Steering wheel repair. - Professional Detail and Cut and Polish Exterior, including headlights and Wax seal coating on body work, degrease and clean of undercarriage - New Vanos Solenoids Car comes with a mostly complete service history from BMW Winger since it was imported from Japan, highlights include: 2018/2019 - 186-210k - 4 New Tyres - Oil Cooler Gaskets - Rocker Cover Gasket - Transmission service including Trans flush - Front and rear Pads plus Sensors - 2x Oil Service last at 210k - Belt, Tensioner and Idler. Crank Pulley. - AC Regassed, new valves. 2017 -186k - Starter Motor - Inlet Manifold Gasket 2016 177k - Front Brake Hoses - Brake Fluid - Rear Brake Pads - Rear Brake Sensor - Wheel Repair - LHF Door Actuator - LH Door Lock 176K - Exhaust Bracket 175k - Washer Pump 172k - Cylinder #6 Ignition Coil - Washer jets flushed 2015 139k - LR Doorlock and Actuator 135k - Windscreen 118k - Front Brake Discs - Front Brake Sensor - Rear Brake Discs - Rear Brake Sensor - Eccentric Cam Seal Issues: I had the car pre-purchase inspected before I bought it and it showed the rear driveshaft guibo/coupling has a crack in it. I have the front and rear(accidentally ordered the front one lol) couplings and all the bolts etc needed to replace. Can sell to buyer at a discount, I can otherwise return them to fcpeuro. Just come up with a right front foglight error code, foglight works though :shrugs: Car drives and runs fine, has newish tyres front and rear and is a real pleasure to drive. I intended to keep this but I keep falling in love with my 2 door 130i. Pm me or reply here, will entertain offers but feel its pretty fairly priced. Great runabout and fun drive. You can see the 2 door E81 while you're viewing too ;D
  2. I'm pretty sure it's because I changed the vanos Solenoids the other day, but would like to scan and see what codes it's throwing. Don't think there's anyone local with a tool so I'll have to take it into a garage for a scan.
  3. The check codes menu in the dash? I've checked that. Need an obd port code read
  4. Anyone have a code reader/scanner I can hire or recommend one to buy? Driving home last night my E87 had a check engine light come on :S Nothing in the system check was showing either I'm based in Welly
  5. Anyone have a scan tool for an E87 130i, will hire off you ? Or if there's a recommended one to buy? Baeed in Welly
  6. Been receiving parts for this over the last couple of weeks, some fitting and some not. Today put new vanos Solenoids in, has made a big improvement to the car. My identical e81 had them done recently which made a noticeable difference. Driving them back to back the e81 feels peppier so I thought I'd order some to swap in and see if it would make a difference. Plus the extensive service history didn't have Solenoids being done so a good box to tick. Old ones had been in there a while, o rings didn't look too flash. Driving the car now, pick up is way better and feels more alive. Very happy with a little over an hours work.
  7. Yeah they've got a thicker edge on the top part of the grill. Similar ones are on trademe that say 04-07 E87 so pre LCI. I've also seen similar ones that claim fit E90 so I'm it really sure what they could go on. The grill "size" is essentially the same on my two cars just the thick piece at the top is present on this set and not on my stock or aftermarket grills currently fitted.
  8. Bought for my 130i but the grill is a different shape than I was expecting. It might be the pre LCI shape for E87? Quality is actually pretty decent. I got some money back for them sending the wrong part so don't owe me much. If you have a code reader and can scan my E87 130i you can have them Or a box of beer.
  9. Spotted in Upper Hutt last two days, E46 M3 with plate M333333 M140i F90 M5
  10. 4 door was a parts car, but realised it was more practical with more options rather than putting all the work in swapping them over I might as well drive it. Its more in the car budget too.
  11. 130i has the dual exhaust but you're right it's a rare car. If you had the first 7 digits of that models vin code(should be WBAUB for the first 5 digits followed by two numbers for the model code) you could use the nzta database to see how many are in the country. It looks like an Msport with the wheels and bumper.
  12. Drove this to Cars and Coffee, got a few comments about it. Drove superbly over Paekakariki Hill. Forgot to put a for sale sign on it as was running late ?‍♂️ Still for sale reluctantly
  13. Got the car back from the detailer today and sure looks pretty. Managed to fit me in around some very nice rides including a black on black 2017 M3 ?. Shoutout to Elite Detailing, highly recommended. I've barely had it in my possession since purchase but I have been buying various bits for the car so have one driveshaft coupling already with some new vanos solenoids on the way and a couple of cosmetic pieces. Before I got it detailed I had the steering wheel and drivers seat leather repaired by a fellow bimmersport member who did a wicked job. After the Stage 3 detail car looks a million times better. It's shown up a few minor things like stone chips on the bonnet etc but now the metallic in the paint can actually be seen and it looked great even under the detailer spot lights and critical eye. Said it came up much better than the 120d he had in the shop for a stage 4 correction which was there when I dropped it off. Looks like a different car compared to the nearly matte paint look it was sporting when I bought it. I've been cleaning the interior this evening and over the weekend will finish the passenger side carpet/mats and clean/treat the leather.
  14. How much @HELLBM? I do have a second 130i ?
  15. Will do $12.5k for bimmersporters and comes with a new undertray
  16. @Wayne Logan definitely post pics
  17. Have listed on trademe for $11.5k ono: https://www.trademe.co.nz/1968668683 It's a 2008 130i Msport with 49k kms Will do lower price for bimmersporters, please note that it doesn't have a Supersprint exhaust on it anymore but a stock 130i one that sounds pretty good still. Highlights: - 3 door E81, pretty rare - Low kms - Transferable Mechanical/electrical Breakdown insurance with 18 months left - Recent Cut and Polish with Ceramic coating - new Vanos Solenoids/Trans Service/oil filter gasket and service - newer model 1 series 17s with good non rft tyres fitted - Interior is absolutely mint - Upgraded rear suspension, Bilstein shocks - Rear Msport bumper insert has been painted body colour, looks much better than standard Lowlights: - Needs repair + respray on front bumper and aerial mount. Dent on tailgate(pullable) - scratches on fender/bonnet - bulb error but lights work fine - Parking sensors and rear wiper motor are dead(seems to be common issue on these) Probably 1k-1.5k to fix bodywork and replace sensors/motor
  18. Found this photo on the BMW Club page, from the Wellington meet last weekend!
  19. I’ll just add that fcpeuro is super useful for parts. I hadn’t actually checked the bmw price, as the full replacement kit (actually an upgraded part over stock)cost me half the local special price, so figured bmw weren’t going to be cheaper.
