Thats correct, you can do it via a cardboard box/heat gun/bbq thermometer. New headlights for a $100 and some effort

Nice, have had my E55 almost 5 years now. I'd be hard pressed to part ways with it. Is it just the picture or are the headlights cloudy?

A small update. The car has been behaving itself, aside from the drivers active seat starting to squeak when the side bolstering was moving in the bends. After some cursing, I managed to remove the rear panels from the drivers seat giving access to the gears which needed some lube. Over the holidays with another mate in his Lexus GS450H we did a small trip up to Opononi thru the Kauri forest on highway 12, the M5 went really well in the tight corners and I can't say enough good things about the PS4s's.

I recently purchased brakes for my M5 from BM Workshop, they supplied ATE and the price was roughly $450 a corner for the rotors. Which was about the same as buying from FCP including shipping excluding being pinged by Customs for import tax. Plus there was the added bonus of pick up and saving myself some shipping costs.

I recently had the exhaust swapped on my M5 at Botany BM Workshop, they did a great job exactly how I asked. I'd also recommend.

Good luck with the purchase, I only just missed out on an E60 M5 from Cromwell. Had planned to fly down from Auckland with a mate to drive the car back, was really looking forward to the drive.

https://www.schmiedmann.com/en/product/1936323-new?product=51-13-8-045-535 Including shipping it cost me $305NZD, took 2 weeks to get here. They packaged the part well too which was a concern with shipping something like this from Europe. Panel beater is going to paint it for $150.

This Silver 05 popped up over the weekend: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m5/listing/3173037049?bof=OnWlScsW Has the black with silver details interior. Wheels will need a tidy up however.

There is something off with that rear end, the tail lights are too small or the exhaust cut outs are too big or is it the diffuser coming too far up the rear bumper. Maybe it's a combination of all 3?

Up for sale is the pair of Eisenmann mufflers from my E60 M5, they in great condition and have been fitted to my M5 since 2018. Located in Papakura, Auckland (can be picked up from East Tamaki if need be) I'm looking for $3000 Update: Exhaust is out and ready to go, more pictures below..

Can confirm, Eisenmann Race

Funny you say that, the guy I brought the car from had a number of people asking to purchase the exhaust. Not sure if it's the Sport or Race system however.

Didn't have alot of time between rain this weekend, got some small stuff tidied up. Replaced the aftermarket M5 emblem on the back, the OEM part from BMW had a plastic film over it to hold everything in place to space it the M and the 5 correctly when fit. I checked the placement, which was ok. Removed the window stickers and glued the left hand cup holder back together which didn't help it working any better.

Busy weekend working on the M5. The car now has new brake disc's/pads/sensors all round, aside from having to drill out the set screws on the front disc's the job was fairly easy. Completed a brake fluid flush with some Motul DOT4 LV. Replaced the cabin air filters which were dated 2016. Replaced all 9.3L of oil with BMW supplied 10w60. Was happy to see no leaks of any kind under the engine/trans/diff, BM Workshop has done a fantastic job of making the car look like it's never had the engine out.
