Don't know how Emma could turn down such a fine looking gentleman... but that aside, looks much better than the one on my heap, mine has BIG lumps sticking up, so I'm keen...

Yup, post a pic of it Gus, this one is seriously rusted all the way round. Will have to do some rust work on the car so will need to do a respray anyway. Going to strip it first though as it might be too far gone already in the sills. Can see signs of it under the MTECH side skirts. Will try the 15" on it sometime, but seems like the ratio is good from the comments....
  4. Yup, would like to see yours as well. Call me 0274995680.

Gus, this M325 is probably the same as your old 2door.. diamantschwartz... did you keep the sunroof lid off it? This one is pretty rusty, along with some other spots on the body...

I'm busy putting together a 2.7, maybe i should think about a turbo too.... was going to put it in the cab tho'. If I do it, you and me can whisle past that honda down the straight at Puke and rip the panels off both sides at the same time...
  7. That light is an aid to remind you to have the car checked according to the owner's manual, which includes an oil change. There are also a row of 5 green lights that go out one by one and when they get to the yellow light, that is the time to do an oil change. The service lights on the dash can be ignored, they don't do anything else except irritate you into doing something. There are methods to turn the lights off without the tool, remember seeing one posted here on Bimmersport fairly recently but can't find it at the mo'. With the older E30 with the small service plug, you could use a 12v 5w globe across pins 1 & 7 of the service plug to reset the lights but I don't know which pins to use on the facelift with the large plug. My vent system for the tank is on the passenger side of 3 of my E30's, the 4th doesn't have one. So not sure what yours is on the driver's side.... Can you post a pic of the unit?
  8. And the special deal for Bimmersport members is ????????

I have a 325 motorsport with a LSD, ratio 3.64. Car came with 14" basketweaves, not 15". What ratios are you guys with 15" basketweaves and LSD running? There is quite a difference in rolling diameter between my 14" and 15" basketweaves so don't want to put the 15" on if it is going to make the car a dog to drive by making the gears too long. Any suggestions?
  10. Hey Mops, how about a pic or 2???

Have owned plenty Bm's and all sat on 1/2. If any moved from there I immediately took a look as it wasn't normal. I'm sure Brent. (who is another BM fleet owner ), will confirm this...
  13. No chance, that shell was a proper rust bucket, not worth saving, so it has been put out of its misery...

try these guys, have bought stuff from them and they are really good with delivery etc. .. and much cheaper than from the agents even after postage and converting from US$. You will have either this one Level sensor or this one Sensor They will also try to source things they don't have in stock. edit Also, my temp gauge sits dead in the middle and doesn't move even if I'm towing.
  15. The rims are ET38 so would probably need spacers on an E30

Had suspicion your old car had a sunroof, unfortunately mine doesn't..
  18. As far as I know you can't fit 14's on a M3, won't fit over the brakes...

    With or without sunroof hole?
  20. Maybe the injectors are a little gummed up from standing. Try some injector cleaner in your tank and then take it for that badass drive....
  21. Great car... good luck with it !! Certainly a great project !! :thumb: It is going to be a looooong 5 years though !!!! Diesel works too. However, I would be inclined to pull off the sump (and heads, depending on what I found in the sump area) before trying to turn it over especially if it has been standing for a while. By trying to turn it over unseen, you may just destroy some parts that are still salvagable now. Generally, if a motor is siezed, it is not worth trying to get it running again without opening it up and finding what caused the sieze. Have seen motors totally destroyed doing this...
  22. Hey sorry, was just replying to Bimmer Boy .. As Surge says, I bought his car off him and stripped it for parts.
  23. Yup, your door..... BTW, that car of yours must have had a swim sometime, all the widow motors were siezed and the central locking motors had been replaced with cheap aftermarket ones...
  24. Looks like I'm going to be calling those ladies again.... not what they told me today. Said it definitely needed re-vinning. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
