  3. Strange - The guy who built it (said he spent upwards of $60K!) said that he was constantly fixing things
  4. The car! I talked to the guy who supercharged the grey one for $80K or so on TradeMe awhile ago. He said even with one of the top superchargers on the market the car was still unreliable and needed constant tinkering and work. Don't even want to think about one that's come out of Japan (assuming based on the stickers)
  5. Can be your http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/mitsubishi/auction-721951898.htm
  6. Looks like a big difference! Excited for after shots
  7. Consider the Pilot Super Sport, it's a fantastic tire (I don't recall there being a huge price difference) but it destroyed the PS2s that were on my car. From what I understand, the PS3 is a revision of the PS2, and the PSS is an all-new design. Food for thought.

    M5 :-)

    Dat rear badge placement
  9. Going ahead with the engine replacement with a second-hand. May have an S65 up for sale soon otherwise it's going to be a table. Insurance doesn't cover anything, warranty is 8K.
  10. Have entertained the pipe dream but as it is I'm Not happy forking out the balance (over the warranty cover) for just swapping over the "right" engine let alone putting an s85. Will be taking preventative measures with new engine and probably changing cars soon too. We'll see. And yeh, do need the car. Being without for this long has been a massive PITA.
  11. Yup go to Woolf Mufflers, it's awesome showing up and them having better things to do like watching TV. /sarcasm
  12. Looks like I'll be going ahead with a second-hand engine. Even with importing parts, because the warranty company gets 30% off all BMW Parts prices work out to be very similar (i.e. saving not worth the headache of importing 40 different parts) Thanks everyone Like said, it CAN be rebuilt, whether it is economic or not is the question. Looks like a low mileage engine is about $10k landed, whereas a rebuild looks around $20k, and a new engine at $25K. Sourcing engine as we speak.
  13. M7? Why.. ? I'd think BMW engineers' minds could go towards something more useful (or interesting). I don't see why you'd need more power from a luxury sedan when the 740i's are producing 450nm, the 760i's producing 750nm and then everything in between. It's not like we have Autobahns.
  14. That bakery has excellent pies
  15. I was happy with my Bridgestone Potenzas on my 530. Now I'm running Michelin PSS on the E92. Got them for 1K US from American Tire Depot (or TireRack). Couldn't be happier.
  16. Sweet as. Thanks. Cheers have looked into this.
