I've seen a few of these type plates around over the past while: MWMNM MWWMW VMWMW etc. etc. It captured my curiosity as it's obviously designed to be confusing, but still "allowed" to be manufactured and licensed by Plates.co.nz I recall seeing somewhere that it isn't legal (NZTA?) but can't seem to find it anywhere so I may be imagining it! Can anyone shed light?

Haha I had similar gripes with my previous plate - GJY673 . I'm not a huge fan of HHS either. QUBE may have a plate. Yeah Continental's is where ours is from too.

Funny how long BER678 has been around here. Agree that the E60 needs a Euro plate. We got a plate just before yours in sequence. Where'd you get it ?

Lol another one of these at my gym.

TE37s, Genuine CSLs, or Apex's if it were me.

I agree. Auckland parking wardens are fools. Girlfriend got ticketed outside our work. "Parked for more than time limit. 30 minutes" - She parked RIGHT UNDER the 120 minute sign. f**ks me off.

I'm keen - Played a bit and it was a blast; then back to work .. haha. What are your guys GTAGs again? I'll add when I get home.

.. Harsh? Think this particular M5 has the exhaust tinkered with or is it back to stock?

I had a manual E46 M3, and now a manual E92 M3. Doing it all again I'd probably go SMG/DCT.

The two cars are in a different league, despite being "just one model up" the M car is a totally different drive. There are some nice examples on TradeMe. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-702992582.htm

I don't think anyone's saying there is anything wrong with it. Just answering the question you asked. I've had dealers offer on cars and then when it came time for the actual payment .. "Oh, there's a ding, -$500, oh there's a scratch -$500, oh, you haven't changed the oil? -$1500" etc. etc. etc. What it's worth is what the market will pay for it; if it's not selling, it's probably not worth what he wants.

Good stuff

I think $18K is steep. You can have an M3 with not many more Ks for +~$5k more I'd say $13K at a push.

Loads of these guys about peddling their wares the same way.

Is that the guy with the "Citrus cleaner"?

I wouldn't plastidip any surface I have to touch - wrapping would be my preference.

Good to hear, car looks nice too.

As a comparison BMWNZ charges around $135 for the front moulding.

Young guy (think he has multiple plates?) - hangs out with the crowd that cruises around in Lambos and Ferraris. Wealthy fellows to say the least... DKNGHT used to be on a GT3, now on an Aventador

Prime Signs in Mt. Wellington did a good job on my old "M" stripes

Admirable to say the least!
