Welcome to the forum! Car looks great, looking forward to more photos. -
Looking good, Jooles. Subscribed for "after" shots! I hear that.

Have seen 6STRNG around too. Good looking car.

Yep, definitely comes back to the old adage that just because you can afford the purchase doesn't mean you can afford the maintenance.

Extra $200 a year in full costs? Lol If I drove one with my daily mileage I'd be pushing $250/wk (not exaggerated) There's no way I would pay that much for fuel so the E60 M5 was considered for no more than 10 minutes... (I was weighing one up when getting the E46 M3 I ended up with)

Haha thanks Jooles. If it comes to buying again I'll buy 3M but as it stands I've got acres of this one left! By the time I get to the end of the roll I'll be a master of budget wrap. Imperfections obviously show much more prominently in person. Thankfully it's mostly on the edges (2 particular spots) that I don't see anyway when the doors are closed

Welcome, and nice looking car! Let us know how compliance goes!

Genuine 3M? Genuinely fake (1.5x3m $50) on TradeMe. I assume 3M would be easier to apply but for the cost and the outcome I'm satisfied.

Lives round the corner from me, usually parked on the street. Like SNITZR says, why people advertise that animals traipse through their car eludes me. Dreaming on the price, but as always, sentimental value has overcome market value.

Definitely practice! Not the best job. I'll re-do it after exams ... Loads of vinyl left. But in the meantime, I'm happy with it! I really prefer the look over the aluminium though.
-
In all honesty I'll be re-doing all of the central pieces (not door trims) because the edges aren't too neat :\

DIY Trim wrapping: Will post finished pics tomorrow
-
Here's the latest with a trim wrap from brushed aluminium to carbon effect. Not as easy as it looks to do

Thanks, I'm happy with it! Like I said, in person the paint job isn't as nice as photos (IMO). It could do with re-doing but just can't be bothered Thanks, don't think it would've been me. Unless someone took my car for a joyride Yeah, I really didn't think at all about colour schemes. Just bought the only paint that they had. Not sure a wrap would hold up to the heat. I'm happy as it is though, and can swap back to the original without any hassle too which is an advantage. Re: wrap Not a problem, mate. I bought some on TradeMe for pittance Thanks anyway! Thanks!

Admittedly the paint job is not fantastic but in photos it looks good (At least I think so)

I think you're safe!
