  1. Some people with a lot of time a so creative!
  2. Good stuff, guys! Both very cool.
  3. AFAIK they are thinner, less ergonomic, and larger diameter. It was a place on Gt. North Rd. up past BM Workshop.
  4. Hope you don't get the $4/day for 20 years!
  5. I'm also very interested to see
  6. Yup I like that plenum as well but it goes well beyond my DIY ability lol. I suppose I could strip what I've done, go over the whole thing in white and see a signwriter for a heat-proof M colour vinyl? With regard to the exhaust mod, Evolve concluded (interweb knowledge right?) that the straight through method doesn't affect performance in any way based on their testing. In any case, I like the sound, and I have a stock exhaust if I ever need/want to go back to OEM.
  7. Thanks Juggernaut I'm thinking I may try to find a matte clear coat that can hold the temp. It's soo damn glossy at the moment. Looking forward to putting it in and adding some colour to the engine bay
  8. Well, here it is.. Probably 3/4 done now. I'm going to do another coat of red because there are a few spots where I can't primed it as well and it lifted with the tape a little bit (small specks but still looks rough)
  9. Great to know for the future, thanks!
  10. Thanks Interesting. I've no experience with any actual paints or spray guns ... This really started out purely as a time-filler project. It's certainly served its purpose. I can't imagine that 4-5 tins of paint would be cheap!
  11. Who's buying wheels at 4:39am
  12. Spent the better part of last night masking .... Tedious but rewarding! I bought gloss black engine enamel last night so that's what I'll be using the for the rest of the top of the plenum.
  13. Didn't specifically sand the texture out. What I did was apply sandable primer. This fills in the texture, and then sanded that down a bit. It is smooth now. Ah, that's what I thought you were referring to. Yup it's a great colour, didn't occur to me to try find it.. Red was sort've spur of the moment! Regardless, I'm happy with what I've got!
  14. The lines a pretty clean. It's got a few little over sprays but will try to deal with that. What do you mean, Michael? This red was the only engine enamel colour other than black
  15. Not quite finished yet. Need to add black detailing ... But quite liking this Primed and engine enamel applied. If nothign else it was a bit've fun!
  16. Sounds like a great idea. Is it possible to wrap it?
  17. Same colour on my E92 but tbh don't like it on the E39s or E46s.. EDIT: Nvm mine's SS "2"
  18. $7K more for that M5 in TM discussions ..
  19. +1 on the Lux soap flakes .. A few other members on here have used them as well with great results!
