Hi everyone I'm selling this as I prefer the OEM shifter in the E92. I opted for the titanium plating, 6 speed shift lines. Product info: CNC precision machined from Stainless Steel billet and fully optimised for an improved gear change. This is NOT the usual aftermarket gear knob - this is a fully engineered solution to improve your overall driving experience. Main Benefits Optimised weight for smooth gear-changes Shorter than stock height for reduced throw Optimised shape for comfort and grip Weight Weighing in at just over 500g, the stainless steel shift knob really does feel substantial. The "notchy" nature of the BMW gearboxes is significantly smoothed out with this weight through providing a greater pivot force, giving you an effortless and precise gear change every time. Prototyping revealed that with the shift knob too light - the notchiness would still be there, too heavy and gearchange would become laboured and sloppy. With the weight optimised, we have met both criteria - smooth and swift. As one customer put it, "this is how the gearchange should have felt from factory". Size & Shape The standard shift knob sits at an awkward height - for both ergonomic and aesthetic purposes. Our aim was to optimise the height for reduced throw and a more natural feel. Prototyping revealed that if it sat too low - users would grip the shifter with fingertips rather than the palm of the hand. This was more apparent with cars having centre arm-rests. Iteration resulted in an optimum height, correcting both aesthetic and ergonomic problems of the standard position. Furthermore, by merging a 2" sphere with a cone, every gear-change technique is accommodated for with an intuitive grip. Not got any experience with spacers but if I were to buy some I'd be looking at either Macht Schnell or Rogue Engineering. Two names that pop up frequently with spacers!

Cool ride. Will look great with the red bonnet (not a fan of carbon look). Agree with Graham on the rear euro plate holder and ditching the tails!

So it's not just me that noticed food is better!? And I can actually smell things now too. Over here in Australia people are smoking everywhere and the more I see it the more I crave it. Still haven't had any though. I used one of those E-Cigs (Elusion) in my last months of being a smoker. It's worse mate. Perhaps not in terms of health (as far as they say) but because you think its all good you're on it 24/7, the smoke burns the sh*t out of your tongue and you can't taste anything except the vapour all the time. Wouldn't recommend.

Also bear in mind the cosmetic changes in the Facelift aren't "huge" expenses. Most can be sourced (OEM and aftermarket parts) The LED tails can be had for about $600 IIRC, I also had to get brnd new OEM headlights for my e39 (these were really expensive) But the aftermarkets are like $700 a pair? I you do do this bear in mid headlights need to be made for RHD cars

Small cosmetic updates: Vinyled (Plastidipped) the side gills, bonnet vents, kidney grills in black. Planning to do the wheels and if I like the look will have GT Refinishers paint them. Also had my RX75 hardwired by Ryan @ Autotech Installs yesterday and again, a top job. When I can afford to I plan to get one of the new Escort Passports but that's another $2K(+-) so not in a hurry. My Storm V1 gear knob is also in there and is an improvement over the OEM (IMO) I've just ordered new spark plugs from Turner Motorsport ($300 cheaper than from Team McMillan ) They should be arriving soon and will go in straight away. Have put some new oil in too (Castrol 10W60 of course) Other than that a few more things have been added to the wish list: -LCI (Life Cycle Impulse aka facelift) tail lights -Proper gloss black grills, gills, vents
