Sorry Darren, didn't see this! I didn't pick the manual as such, this car happened to be within budget purely by chance. I would've had it whether it was DCT or manual. Agree on the DCT comment. They are damn fine, I drove one a couple years back and it was really good. I'd imagine that if I bought another one I'll get a DCT, in saying that, I'm very happy with the manual, and it's a very engaging drive. Thanks mate.

Heh hopefully once I've carried out some of my plans it'll have some more "tough" factor.

Is purchasing a 20 year old E34 sensible for a new car owner?
Tristan replied to Tidy30's topic in General Discussion
If your car is euro, your car is sh*t. -
Welcome to the forum. There are a number of E39 owners and enthusiasts on the boards!

A pretty good reason to get your PPI done with a reputable garage!

Agreed. I've had 2 (1-2 year ownership) Jap BMWs (318Ti/530) and had no issues whatsoever with them. -
So it's the S54B32 in the Z3M, Z4M, and E46 M3? - Having driven all 3 (Ray), which is your favourite?

Me? I can squirt some into another bottle and send it to you for $5 (postage). I'm just hectic as at the moment so it may be awhile before I can.

Gave the headlights a run over with Meguiar's PlastX - Improved them substantially. Will give them one more run over tomorrow. Also dipped the kidneys black. Just need to do the side vents now. Pics tomorrow

Drive it for an hour and it's all over

Ha, hadn't noticed that - There was another photo where the guy was using a rotary on the windscreen... Side windows extra.

Here's the full write-up: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/show...ad.php?t=316871 Incredible but not sure I could ever pay that much for a detail, especially when it says in the thread that it's daily driven! (or at least was..)

Good to know. Thanks!

I would be using vinyl sheets like these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-629116602.htm

Stunning photography. The cab will be fun in Summer!

Plastidip would work fine - Not sure you'd even need the glossifier. It isn't the most pleasant feeling thing though. I'd be more inclined to get an actual vinyl and do that.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've had PPIs done at Team McMillan and was happy with the job they did. Whilst I haven't had a PPI done, I've had servicing and used BM Workshop (Grey Lynn) many times and have always been happy with the work they've done.

Any more progress here?
