  1. just a heads up to double check you cars current config can accept the kit you're buying with out mods or extra peices. When i ordered from them what i got for my E46 bolt in system was different than what my car actually needed for the front splits. this was due to the kit being made for US base model and not Euro / international base models which had different audio "base" set ups from factory. This cause a few headaches for me and Bavsound. they sorted it but somewhat reluctantly. since then they've changed the wording on their site and kits and shipping international isnt an option. That being said the speakers are awesome and the fact the are direct OEM replacements is fantastic. i love the range and depth and a great upgrade on the 6 factory speakers for E46 sedan. good luck with your upgrade
  2. Air bg confirmed as not needing recall by Coombes. wheel and airbag onTM https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1615628295 if anyone wants one.
  3. new wheel has had current, freshly recalled (last year) airbag fitted. so i'm sorted old air bag needs checking first and foremost, i forgot to take it to dealer. so will do tomorrow. they will check but can only perform recall on vehicles once (recall is vehicle aligned not airbag aligned). if airbag i did get with the MF wheel does need to be recalled it'll have to go to a car that hasn't had one yet or be disposed of. if it doesn't need recalling i will sell with the steering wheel that came out of my car.
  4. Multifunction steering wheel fitted to the E46. Cruise control fully active, stereo controls to come for aftermarket HU. going to enjoy CC on longer road trips!

  7. go to dealer or look on Ali express and buy new.
  8. Bit of automotive optometry today; New to me passenger side headlight bowls. (Others had been marred by water and dirt from leaky seal) and new headlight weather strips, both sides on the E46. Took the opportunity to give all the surrounds a good clean up while passenger side was apart too.
  9. what are these gorgeous things? brand & retailer, please?
  10. Question for those that have retro fitted Multi function wheels to their cars, or have these steering wheels and have fitted after market head unit. Have you successfully been able to control volume on the after market unit with the buttons on the steering wheel?
  11. i tried refurbishing mine 2 years ago, couldn't get good results / consistent finish so methodically, as budget allowed replaced them all with new ones. this ensured factory fit with BMW OEM materials, color and quality.
  12. I Pull them each autumn to check condition before winter, if they look worn ad there's a special on i'll swap them out. a few weeks ago i did this and they looked a bit pitted, so yesterday i changed them. One did have a bit of oil on it which i havent seen before, might be a gasket needs changing somewhere
  13. After much drooling over a stunning e39, i've decided to keep my e46. So got to doing annual spark plug inspection / change over, during which i noted one headlight had got some condensation from being parked outside for a week. (we are painting out kitchen too, so, many, projects) During taking out a bulb to vent the headlight, the bulb fell out of its socket and dropped down into the engine aby / bumper / under tray area. After a lot of searching and removal of air filter housing and front spot light i found the little bugger in the bumper underneath the spotlight housing..... next little project will be sorting out my moist head light, will pull apart ad check the seals...
  14. maybe, its the whole area around the screw has shattered, approx size of 20 cent piece, my Araldite skills leave a lot to be desired:) maybe if i could remove the glove box hmmm
  15. Went over the interior of my e46 with screwdriver and tightened all the interior trim screws i could find to minimise rattling. some good results, not dsh squeaks and less random rattle in my ears whilst driving,, nearly no rattles at ll now so i'm happy.. However discovered the glove box interior has a big crack in it around one of the screw points not sure if replaceable

Looks great mate, I also had some issues when I went for Alcantara shift boot and hand brake boot, went through a US company and the wrong items (and color) showed up, from Poland lol. 2 more attempts and returns had it sorted haha. It can be a long road chasing what you want when it comes to the right parts for the right car.
