  3. Meh. Landlord selling the house. Can't blame him in this market. The trick now is to find a house that allow for five cars and two cats...on the North Shore Mind you its the move in costs that screw you... Some get up to the $3000 mark. Ouch
  4. Playing outdoor netball on the North Shore for 40 minutes in this terrible weather. Going to be a cold one - why do we do this to ourselves? Brrrr
  5. May see you this afternoon then! Am assisting with documentation later today so do come over and introduce yourself.
  6. Could any one assist with the below? Event runs from Bombay to Whitianga to Rotorua over Friday 15th - Sunday 17th! Your help would be most appreciated. URGENT HELP!! Unfortunately we have just been let down by a group who were to be a Timing Team for this weekends Targa Bambina Event! We urgently need people who can assist as part of a Timing Team this weekend. Please contact TARGA ASAP on 09 298 8322 or operations@targa.co.nz.
  7. Quick rant. Working in a collections role... You hear all excuses under the sun. You get sworn at and treated like sh*t... But as a customer service position as well you can't dare be rude back. Sigh. Winning lotto numbers anyone?
  8. Car is sitting in the garage with no engine. So basically covers it on a trailer from A to B and if it gets stolen or house burns down. I think from memory it may cover specific car parts but I would need to check the policy documents
  9. I've found Prestigio pretty good. You'll have to go through a broker usually but both E30s are insured through them. Mine is about $500-600 per year, unlimited kms for full cover. Valued at 6k, and they've been informed of the modifications including the engine conversion. The touring on the other hand is insured under a restoration cover which is cheap as chips. Only downside is the under 25 excess but no one gets away from that. Unfortunately they wouldn't insure the Subaru (08 WRX STI) because it wasn't going to be garaged. Vero was good in this instance and premium was a few hundred dollars less than State.
  10. My E30 Being able to compete in the race series My mister Friends and family My animals Sleep ins. Pasta and cheesecake. Last of all, knowing that for the next three days I don't have to get up for work. Yus!
  11. Spotted a nice silver E30 318IS on the way home today. Sat together from Drury all the way to Tristram Ave... Awesome little car :-)

Well I don't know about the rest of you but I slept through and didn't really think much of it?
  13. Springs have now been taken out of the car if you're still interested. Pick up North Shore $200.
  14. Hah, all good. From what I understand by the part number on the front spring they should be the H&R Sport ones. They have BMW 3/1 VA (F) written on the front springs. They've been in my car for about three years now but since upgraded to a 6cyl so replacing the front ones accordingly. Should be out of the car next weekend if all goes to plan. This is how the car sat before the engine conversion was done.
  15. Super low on a daily driver - Have fun with that. On another note I have some H&R lowering springs from end of March onwards. Just need to get them out of my car. Fronts will be second hand, rears will be brand new. $200.
  16. Nice work chick! Perhaps you can come show the boys what's up in the bmw race series. There's always room for more woman!

    Drivexasperation

Too late! I deleted the video... I would say very shocking language... And did get a little racist too
  18. I thought it was worth it as why not when you're already there with it all apart.
  19. Kit on Trade Me doesn't seem to include the thermostat either. Unfortunately I find that shipping is the annoying part as it boost the price up something chronic. If you find something you want from Turners or ECS it may pay to ask around on Bimmersport first to see if anyone else wants to do an order - makes shipping a tad more cheaper. EDIT: I think when I purchased the kit from ECS tuning it was cheaper due to the way the dollar was at that point of time.

    Drivexasperation

Driving back from Hampton Downs today I experienced some of the most obnoxious driving. The driver was in a Mitsubishi Legnum along with about three other guys. They were driving in the right lane not passing any one so I decided because they were going 80-90k that I would go up the middle and undertake them then I popped back into the right lane to overtake the guy that was in the middle lane up ahead. Oh of course they didn't like this, so they went into the middle lane and then got up right along side me for a while. They then proceeded to cut me off to get in front of me just before I was to pass the guy in the middle lane slightly up ahead - they sure knew I was there! Honked my horn at them so they then brake checked me. Any who, I got back in front of them at some stage before the Victoria Park Tunnel and every time I did some form of overtaking manoeuvre they decided they would follow suit and get right up behind me each time. In the end they ended up cutting me and one other off before Esmonde Road, by shooting across three lanes to get off at the off-ramp. I did get some of that on video in my car - however I thought best not to post it as the language wasn't particularly ladylike. Not that I'm the most perfect driver but unfortunately it's common in Auckland to see stupid behaviour like this. Rant over.
  21. I got this one for my M20B25 and nothing has gone wrong yet! http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E30-325i-M20_2.5L/Search/SiteSearch/Timing_Belt/ES260747/ You can see the kit contents on the website and what brands they are, but seemed to be good value for money (to me any way). It was on sale for me when I purchased it but cost me about $160-$200 including shipping.

    Caught on camera...

+1 I've only ever heard good things about Aeroparks and have also used them before. Really polite employees as well!
  23. He's a very kind and helpful man. He threw in a few extras for us when we purchased it too. I hope to see the Mosens boys back at the track!
  24. Yup definitely was his. We bought it direct from him.
