It has already been lowered so that is taken car of I have added mudflaps since this photo too. I would like to get 15" BBS alloys but would settle for 14" because of the price. Modest tints would be nice, I am considering clear indicators and a chrome exhaust tip would be nice. Knowing my budget though it might be a while before any of that happens I don't believe they came with the car, the option list doesn't list them so I assume they didn't. In saying that I know they are an original BMW part and they have definately been on the car for a while (wear etc). They look nice though, I will be keeping them Yea, do you work with him? Ha, no kidding! Right hand stick (windscreen wipers etc) stopped working yesterday and the drivers side window stopped a while ago so I have booked it in at Bellars to sort it out.

Still trying to figure out what some of the option codes are exactly but I was told the 215 option was fairly rare to find which is cool to know I also assumed the model badges (318I) on the back were not there because the car had a different boot lid, either from a crash or other reason but it looks like the original owner asked for it to never be put on

I may have to give it a go when I get my bumper clipped back on properly. Thanks for the tip!

How does it come out? I have tried silicon gel and various rubber/plastic shine products but I always get a darker strip in the centre and light parts on the top of the trim. I assume from sun fade. Does the shoe polish cover that up?

I would like to be able to decode the VIN on my BMW to reveal the options that it left the factory with. I had a look for the build sheet under the back seat but no luck I have found out general info via the VIN such as manufacture year/month place etc. Anyone how to decode the VIN to show the options list (or if it is even possible?). Ah wasn't there that day...

Yep, I get the under 21 excess and a $500 excess for it being an old BMW. Apparently because parts for it are deemed expensive. Their records for E30's only go back to 1986 so when I said it was a 1985 they have put it on my policy as "1985 BMW or earlier".

That is odd because I am with state and I insured my 1985 318i Coupe for $3K no problem. I just said that was how much it was worth and they said ok. They did throw on a nice excess because it was a BMW though

They are slightly different to the ones above (I can't take a pic of the one I have as it is on the car now) but I rang HellBM and they said they had some so I will pick some up from them.

Thats cool, I think I need a total of 8 (I have 1). Yea I had a look at my mother's E30 and hers has screws not clips, but it's a facelift. If you can spare any I would gladly grab them (I can pay the extra postage too) but no biggie, I think I am getting some more from HellBM up this way. Still a steal for $50

Thanks for the mudflaps! Quick postage too, gave them a quick clean this afternoon and will really get into them on the weekend when I clean my car. Needs a good one after being down to Wellington and back last weekend

As per title looking for some E30 Rear Bumper Trim Clips (Those which hold the rubber onto the chrome). Missing a few and as such the rubber does not sit right on the chrome. Please PM me if you have anything. Thanks.

Very very nice. If I had the money I would sell my E30 and buy a 318is right away as that the the car I would ultimately like to own. Good luck on the sale, it will certainly attract a buyer who will give it the love it deserves as you have done.
