  1. Got onto cleaning my new wheels Before and afters (did a cheeky centre cap swap to make it look better too).

    E30 M325i plz

Had a look today. Two different types of tires for each pair. Plenty of tread on all 4. One rim has a fair amount of curbing but nothing horrendous. They definitely need a good clean. The labels on three of the centre caps are all faded, the 4th is ok. I don't think I would buy them without the centre caps unfortunately.

14" BBS in Devonport. Going to have a look at them today. I will let you know how they stack up if you like

  5. I think it is E28 to E30 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=379831345
  6. Hi Guys, Just wondering will an MTech1 spoiler bolt straight into the existing holes drilled into the boot lid from a standard spoiler? Thanks Andrew
  7. Got a WOF. Flew through with no warnings!
  8. Very true, where would you find golden centre caps... Nice set of rims to dream about but they would need to be top notch to fetch a price like that.

    E30 M325i plz

It's a pity that someone has to do that to such a nice example of an E30 Tech1. Carjam report shows plate was changed from TD8662 to FUF646 on the 8th of March 2011. http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=fuf646 Youtube user: http://www.youtube.com/user/GWHIzR He has had 2 E30 uploads in the last 2 years of "$nakes" and the TradeMe auction states the current owner has owned it for the last two years so I would say the current seller has been the one who thrashed it. Pity. PS Someone should ask why the plates have been changed.

    E30 M325i plz

Yep, just like the picture here. http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/71...646771_full.jpg That is the nicest style of cover I have found. Ones like this: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/attachment...mp;d=1197752059 They are just plain ugly.

Personally I like Tech1 more. I am also one of those people that takes the KMs into account. The lower the better. I know with some cars you cannot read off the Ks but it is almost always a very good indicator. Cracks in the dash are no biggie. You can find carpets covers pretty easy and to be honest, I would have a carpet cover over a non-cracked dash anyway because I prefer the look. I have always preferred white, silver and red being my second choice. I also don't really like black leather, shows way too much wear (even if in good condition). I do not mind beige/cream interior but I do prefer the standard cloth. For rust, I have found a few key places to check. Boot wells down the side. Sunroof drains (pour some water down the open sunroof rails and make sure it all comes out each separate drain down each pillar). Firewall (always good to check on any older car as it is WOF material). Corners of doors/windows etc. If you need to re-gas the A/C, ask if the system is leaking. I have seen some that need to be re-gassed once a year. That's all I can think of. Take my opinions with a grain of salt though, I would call myself a bit of a purist by this forums standards.
  13. Oh thanks, I will give them a call!
  14. I bought out BMWorkshops supply beforehand (and subsequently lost the front mudflap the next week). I have tried many second hand places but parts for mudflaps seem to be very hard to come by. Worst case I can import from BavAuto or something of the like.
  15. Seems like a petty little thing I am looking for. 4 Front mudflap 'fixing clamps'. Part #72608117730 They will complete my full mudflap additions. Many Thanks.
  16. Saw a Alpina E36 B6 2.8 going through the lights at the intersection of Greville Road and East Coast Road. Just like this model. Didn't think I'd see an Alpina in NZ.

    Iphone help.

You can change the text tones for the iPhone. You have to get the mp3 you want and convert it to a specific file type and then insert it into the directory to trick the iPhone into thinking it is a default tone. Just google it and you should get a bunch to walkthroughs for how to do it.
  18. I am missing the big plastic cover down the right hand side of the drivers seat. I think the little one there is broken too. Would you have those separately and would you be able to post?

    For Sale

Not to be horrible but it would look much better with pictures with all the trimmings on
  20. If I had 10,000... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=369257320 So very nice. I apologise for being a purist in advance
  21. I have just recently lost my front left mudflap for my PFL E30. I have a feeling it came off on the way to or from work (on the shore) so if anyone happens to find one would they be able to give me a shout? It may have come off last night when I went to Mt Wellington but I am fairly certain it was still on this morning. Wouldn't usually put something so trivial up in a post but the mudflaps are hard to come by now... Thanks
  22. Mudflaps! Many thanks to Huffer for them, they are great! Still looking for the front mounting brackets if anyone has a pair would you be able to PM? Thanks.
  23. During the 3-4 hour clean All the hard work pays off
