  1. 5k is about where we're thinking of pricing the sedan...
  2. Resoldered another broken wire on the drivers side fuel tank. Stupid f**king thing.
  3. Also, on the topic of track days, when BMWCC start running their Sprint Days again I'll, most likely, rejoin.

Ha! You missed the bit where I destroyed the sensor... Also needs wof. Minor technicality....
  5. Gotta agree 100%. Also, usually found almost everyone behaves pretty well out there. The starting late morning works well at 'open' open puke type days. All the skidders have busted at least one thing and are going home for the day.

    Talk tonight. Indeed.
  7. Thanks Geoff, edited first post to clarify. Can swap e30 3.64 lsd for 2.93 (or there abouts) lsd or buy open 2.93 (or there abouts) outright. All med case size. Give me an idea of what you're looking for, for open diff or if you're keen to swap. Shipping sounds fine, better than expected ha.

Na haven't had a chance to do anything like that yet. Will do some more work setting it up first then hopefully josh and brendon can find some time to work their special magic thing they do.

Measured the depth to wheel as best I could, tricky with a bloody exhaust in the way. Anyway, measured 34.2mm odd. Sensor measures 32mm. Used the sensor as a sacrificial lamb and cut it down a bit to test. Destroyed it ha. Bugger. Will grab a couple from Ray and try again, but 2mm+ seems waaayy too much.
  10. Tell me youre doing a timber insert down the centre....
  11. From e28? early type diff, ratio 2.9-3.1 odd or crown and pinion wheel to fit e30 LSD to. Or I have a good e30 3.64 LSD I'd like to swap for 2.9-3.1 ratio med case LSD. Preferably Auckland, shipping's a pain for these things.

Yes they do, but they might be the same type...
  13. She's a big job painting a car properly. It's why it costs so much.

I have a feeling that, with the way I set up the flywheel, it might be wandering in and out by maybe 1/2mm. Might be enough to corrupt the signal. Will measure tomorrow. The e34 uses to same type of sensor?

Thanks Will. Sensor is a inductive pulse generator, same as e34? I wonder how fussy they are in regards to gap to timing gear? Do you think it would cause problems if the gap wasn't 100% constant as the gear turns and passes the sensor? This from Pelican. .55mm seems pretty specific ha.

Thanks dude, will try the one outta the wagon and see if it improves first.

Good ear. Anyway, nearly made it to the meet on Sunday but it has a small running problem. It's not reving cleanly and lacks power although cruises happily enough. A quick live scan shows the rev count from the crank sensor doesn't match the gauge and isn't showing any change past 2200 even at cut-off. Suspect crank sensor although it seems if the sensor is bad it stops the engine running??? Anyone seen this before?? Glenn?? Will swap it for a known good one on Wed and see if it improves.

What I'll likely do is blank off the rear and side of it and use the box it creates with a dirty old pod in it. I'll need to open the front of it like the CSL to let air in. Might even get some ram effect for more racecar!

Cheeky.... Aint no way the e39 airbox will fit like yours. I'll poke it down in the void just in front of the wheel. Need a trumpet thingy CSL style.

Thanks Will, will get in contact with him. In other news, it left the garage for the first time in a while today. Seems so far to be fine. Still a bit to do before a proper drive but it made it to the letter box and back yay. Bit of a different look too.

Oh yeah, and I need a LSD, med case or a suitable crown and pinion with a ratio of 2.9-3.2, there or there abouts. I have a 3.64 LSD here I could swap, so if anyone knows of something lemme know.

Like a V8 mate! Pretty basic with the E39 res and that Remus but surprisingly quiet and no drone yay.
