  1. Martynn, I'm surprised you didn't buy those 17x8.5 & 9.5 ones last week, they were a steal. I would have bought them if my calipers weren't so big
  2. I'll hopefully be there. Trying to get to a track day on the 26th, so will see how that goes.
  3. No, just a FG one, the CF ones are SP-C or A I forget??? I know, when I first looked at getting one they were $550ea (when they were first FIA approved), these days they are close to $1000ea (which is about the same as the 9009 (CF version of the 4009) use to be)!!!! They are V.Good seats though.
  4. I use a Recaro SP-G in the E30, I find it very comfortable. In the rally car we use Racetech 4009's, they are a lot tighter (come in various widths) but very comfortable also, have to be when you spend 2 days getting thrown around.
  5. I gather you didn't do a run with the boost control solenoid bypassed to see if it was a actuator issue?? What did the ignition curve look like?? Load signal (Map and/or TPS)?? You can tune the engine to get boost quicker, Ignition & cam timing, but I imagine it would be pretty close to optimum in it's current state, unless it's fallen "out of tune" somehow????
  6. SAME AS e30 ONES IF YOU NEED A CHEAP QUICK FIX, DAM CAPS SORRY.
  7. Hi Udit, I have a test wheel you can try, just PM me your details and I'll arrange a time to pop up to see you with it. Time frame: I'd like to get the order filled in the next 2 weeks to get them here before X-mas, this would also be advantageous for those running in the BMW series as they will have them for the next meeting for sure & possibly testing?? Glenn
  8. It's in an email at home, but 18lb's rings a bell, pretty light for a 17x9" wheel. Not unless you want 16 or more of 1 type/size/fitment.

    Suzuki Swift

sh*t thats a worry, you have to drive it backwards everywhere after you put a turbo on it!?!?! Kewl little car btw!! Where are the cheesy picks of you with it???
  10. Hi All, Been a while since we've done a group buy so here we go. I have been able to get a great price on some Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 wheels the following fitment ONLY: 17x9" et23 5x120 72.6mm Centre Bore These are made by RIMSTOCK in the UK, as you will see they have a good reputation and supply to many well known car manufacturers. The particular wheel mentioned above comes from the Team Dynamics Competition range as shown HERE The PRO RACE 1.2 17x9" wheel was designed and is used extensively in the BTCC & ETCC. The normal price for these is over $600ea, I have been able to get this down to $400ea (including insurance, shipping & tax). Which isn't much more than the heavy bling wheels available locally, but not "trademe" cheap as we are all becoming use to. To secure this price we need to purchase +16 wheels, I have upto 10 of these already spoken for. So I hear you all asking what do they fit??? They will fit: E24 E28 E30 M3 E32 E34 E38 E46 M3 (would need to test fit the front) Or any other 5x120 BMW with enough mods (eg. widebody E36's etc...) I will post a copy of the wheel profile tonight for those who have big brake clearance issues, but fyi they have acres of space!! For anyone local, I have a 17x9" et22 fitted with a 240/625 dunlop slick they are welcome to test fit for clearance purposes etc... Any Q's post 'em up. Regards Glenn
  11. I was going to say a Mazda 3 MPS, but the swift is pretty kewl!! and so cheap!!
  12. DD: 535d touring if $$ weren't an issue and to tow the track hack. Slightly more realistic a 120d but still dreaming. So I'll settle for a good old AE92 Corolla FX-GT with a few supermarket dents to match, cheap to run, reliable and most importantly, expendible!!
  13. Sold. Dayum that was fast!!!
  14. Time to strip the beastie down. Full cloth interior for 4 door E30: 2 front sport seats Rear bench & back Parcel tray with speakers 4 door cards & arm rests and carpet if wanted. In OK condition (it is 21yrs old), don't think the rear bench fits a 2dr and front seats don't tilt forward. Not interested in selling bits of it, someone make an offer for the whole lot. how's $100 for starters?? Will also trade for flat carbon fibre sheets. Will get some pics shortly. SOLD

    TURBO E36

UUC. They do a flywheel & clutch kit that uses a M5 clutch & pressure plate. dunno if the clutch only works with the stock flywheel??
  16. Did you try Trademe?? There was a set of genuine M5 wheels on there last week ($2500)
  17. wholly 4dr roller skates batman, it's a 4x4.
  18. Marginally better. I have E36 M3 rears, they were ~$140ea FYI Don't think OE pads + install would $700, but could well be.
  19. $1500 my ar$e, rip off bast@rds!!! I got both the 3.0l & 3.2l discs priced when I was doing my brake upgrades, off the top of my head the 3.0l ones were $240+gst ea and the 3.2l ones were $260+gst ea (FYI the E46 floaters were $500+gst ea, bit of a rip off for only 13mm more disc). I think the brembo ones were ~$240ea mark. Do a bit of shopping around, and don't bend over and pay for installation, get your hands dirty and become one with your machine.
  20. I'd say so, provided the stud spacing is correct. Bit of an issue with the steering on a RHD E36 though!! Could alway run it upside down and high mount the turbo up front like on M50'd E30 turbo's!!
  21. Floating rotors were OE on the Euro M3's (I presume the NZ ones were?). They have a alloy centre and the cast iron rotor is mounted on pins to the alloy centre. Floating Vs Conventional: As opposed to the more conventional all iron rotor.
  22. OE rotors are good (it is a M3 afterall), esp. if you have the floating rotors. The OE ones are soft though, they wear out quickly with harsh pads (thus the big mess on your wheels). The Brembo's are good quality, not floating like the Euro M3 ones, and would prolly last a bit longer. If it were Bremebo Vs Conventional OE rotors, I'd weigh it up on price, add the floating rotors I'd go with them if the cost wasn't horrendous and if you plan to use it on the track a bit.
  23. Are those the CH's from Trademe Buy-Now $2000?? If so, one hell of a steel, and look fantastic!! I wished they were 18's every time I saw that listing
  24. I read it here also: http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-1234566,00.html
