  1. That would be because it's (well was) a 323i, and in wgtn. 292rwhp is only a twist of a boost tap away from 300rwhp Close enough for me.
  2. I think I have some lying around, will dig them out. *cough* because they don't go that fast or weigh that much *cough*A full weight E30 (1250kg iirc) with 2.5x the power of a E30 series car needs all the help it can get!!
  3. Sounds like Matt's old car with my old brakes!?!?! The brakes were a lot better than stock (for my given application). The question is do YOU need any thing better than stock!?!?! 16's fit over them BTW, maybe not if you are trying to fit the wrong (fwd) offset wheels!?!?!

    D1Spec E36

"a bit" will be an under statement LOL E36's typically run a +42 offset for 17x9's If you have +15 -25 gives -10 offset, that means the rim alone is sticking out 52mm (+tyres) Running stock E38 or E39 17x9's will stick out "quite a bit" if that is the look you are after Not trying to rain on your parade or anything, but there is extreme and EXTREME!!!

I think you'll find they are 25mm "adaptors" (5x120 to 5x114) he is talking about. And will be a bit more than a 30mm guard "pulling" to fit the wheels, some serious chopping & welding will be needed. Will be watching with interest!!
  6. That is business!!!! There is no stopping you brining it into NZ!! Just registering it. Which if you REALLY wanted it, you could get around
  7. Doesn't sound too difficult, bit more fab work than bolting on the E32 item, but hey you got hot rod bling In the ETK it says it is a "Brake Pressure Regulator" I read that as being a proportioning valve. I left mine in as I had too much rear with it and didn't want to potentially reduce the effectiveness of the adjustable one by removing it. I made new rear brake lines through the cabin, comes in through a little bung above the chassis rail (near that valve thing) then along the tranny tunnel (with the prop. valve next to the hand brake) to the middle of the back seat where it Tees to each side. I can get some pics next time I'm in the garage if you like??
  8. Cheaper than a E32 25.4mm one?? Did it "bolt on" or some fabbing/mods needed?? Push-rod length work OK?? Just being nosey I've put a inline prop. valve in mine also, locking up the rears at 200+ isn't much fun. Keep the updates coming.
  9. Nice "Hot Rod" styled MC. Whats was the reasoning for going to that type of MC?? Size?? Bugger about the pistons & resulting delay.

There is a mint original e21 316 on tardme $2000ono IIRC Not quite the power you are after, but an awesome base for a project if thats your thing.
  11. pics or ban!!!! I presume you mean for the rear, to correct excessive camber?? Have a look on the GC website

I reckon you'd be right, considering you are probably reasonably continent and the 1 pair would last the day. As I've said before Gusto, If only I had the coin & the time/space for another toy *sigh* Would be sad to see you let her go.
  13. Speaking of which, was it your 2002 featured in the new "Clubsport" magazine?? Lookin' forward to the pics
  14. I think KAAZ also do one for the E46!?!?!
  15. I sense an S50 heading for early retirement 10 points for effort though. Keep us posted how it all comes together (or apart).
  16. Looks very nice!! Need a photo shoot with you and cain and some nice light, techno violet & calypso red together, mmmm. The wheels aren't as nice as it could have, but reasonably unoffensive. Have fun with the rev limiter
  17. And you are keeping the stock ECU to run this, not chipped or anything, hrmmmm. Considering my engine is the same size and boosted and "only" puts down 292rwhp, I think you may be guestimating a bit high with 250 N/A rwhp.
  18. This vidi has done the rounds so many times now. I think you will find the whining is from the straight cut gearset (mmm sequential too), not the diff.
  19. Try BnT, I paid ~$30ea for E30 ones
  20. Hey Josh, I must have missed this reply. I'm pretty sure you have the spring in the wrong way around, the cylindrical springs should be in the front and the barrels in the rear!!! Have a look in the cylindrical springs they will have the length/dia/rate printed on them, I can see 0500-0225-??? Thats 5" long 2.25" dia can't see the rate, but judging by the coil dia they look to be ~500lbs. The reason for the 'barrel' shaped rears is the short cylindrical type (that they use to use in the rear) coil bind too easily causing handling nightmares and damage the trailing arms. What size spacers are you running up front?? 20mm?? Shame about the manky state of the S50, hope it didn't cost you much!! With all this machining work it doesn't leave much life in that block for future rebuilds. Keep the pic's coming!!!
  21. Nice Work!! ~280rwkw I figure that is 14lbs of boost that is being logged on the bottom graph & AFR?? On a stock M30 bottom end?? What gear was that pull in? 4th?? Reving it to??
  22. I would be very suprised if ANY are TRUE coilover rears, in which case some serious strengthening mods would need to be done to the rear towers for them to not rip apart, even the front towers on E36's suffer fatigue & tear with firm springs.
  23. So is the 225/45-17 it is what comes on the front of the E36 M3 EVO's, and most E46's spec'd with 17" wheels. In the 18" case its either the 225/40 or 245/35 then isn't it. Both of which will work on a 8" wide rim (the typical aftermarket wheel width). Wouldn't be my choice & doesn't sound like yours either LOL
  24. TC Kline also do a SA kit @ $1618 US Does it say what needs to be done to the rear towers?? I have never heard of an mods req'd in this area for aftermarket "replacement" shocks. Unless they are converting the rear to coilovers, but I would be very surprised if they were.
  25. You haven't got 225/45-17 which is also close but a bit over, this is the size I would go for as tyres are cheaper due to a large portion of the 17 tyre market uses this size (OE & Aftermarket), no fitment issues & suit most rims widths you will be looking at (7.5"-8.5"). Nothing fat about 245/40's I run them front & rear, a 8" wide rim is typically the narrowest they are spec'd for. Tyre places recommend 235/40-18's because thats what they put on every other falcon & commodore, they would also try telling you 235/45-17's aren't much bigger than 40's LOL yeah right, with the later commanding a higher price than the same tyre in a 45 profile.
