Huh? Is that with a 1:1 5th sport box?I've got a 3.64 diff and my top end is well and truly over that, looks to be around 250. The 4.45 diff has a top speed of 205. 0.81 x 3.64 (std OD fifth gear x diff ratio) =2.9484 So @ 6000 rpm your rear wheels are turning @ 2035 rpm or 122100 revs per hour 122100 X 0.001795420202 (wheel revs per hour x tyre circ. in Km) =219Km/h Top speed with 4.45:1 is only around 180 give or take a few km for different tyre diameter or rev limit variations etc from car to car

Chuck that engine out, something is seriously wrong with it.With that gearing you should be running out of revs before the kink not running out of torque before the end of the straight. Your top speed with that gearing, stock wheels and tyres, 6000rpm rev cut etc. is only 213km/h

Any stock manual 325 E30 will go over 200, whats the big deal?? Bounce it off the rev limiter in top gear with stock 3.64 diff and your going around 215.

Don't do it. Some cars "only" need all the glass changed and motors etc fitted and complete wiring loom change while others will need all the doors to be swapped as well.

Andrew, there is a red preFL coupe on Trade Me with a buy now of $1600 but it's an auto. I have a 5 speed conversion for it though.

You can have mine for free. It needs the inner tie rod ends and rubber boots replacing.

Replacemnt remotes are available for most alarms, but the cost is often prohibative. I priced a remote once, they wanted $49.95 for one remote when the whole new alarm system was priced at $139.95 and that came with two.

There is a 94 318ti at Vehicle Tenders in Manukau city with a reserve of $1200. It was on Trade me last week with a $1500 reserve but didn't get any bids. It has moderate frontal damage but not enough to damage the engine.

South bound on the soutern motorway just before the bombay hills, is a 5km long section marked with signs at 1km increments specifically for measuring speedo error. Drive over the 5k's and see how far your speedo "says" you have gone.

My first wreck had the same problem, it had been crashed with the doors locked and no matter how hard you pulled on the lock knob it wouldn't move. I thought the door catches had been bent in the accident but it was just the CL motors were stuffed. I pulled the door cards off (not so easy with the door stuck closed) and then unbolted the motors. After that the doors unlocked/locked, opened/shut no problem.

Why can't you use the box that belongs to the 323 engine too?

The power drop was not so much the fault of the injection system, but from porting, combustion chamber and compression ratio changes that happened at the same time as the injection change to try and reduce emission levels. F#%^$ng greens :finger:
